Went for a conference here. Organization is not their best trait. The room we were allocated was not the one we picked. Special dietary requirements were not met. Toilet at the conference center smelled bad and by the middle of day 2 there was no toilet paper in one of the cubicles. Food was tasteless except for the last day after some complaints - so it can be done. Except for a different red meat, the lunch menu was the same everyday. I expected the conference rooms to be cleaned after each session. It was a two day conference and when we arrived for the second day the room was in the same mess as when we left the day before. To be fair, they did put new bottles of water on the tables. However, it makes you wonder why they didn't just tidy up as well while they were at it. The staff were very friendly and helpful but that doesn't help if everything else is falling apart.
My clients experience staying here and they rated this accommodation one of the best in the city. Their room is very satisfactory and service is quite notable. They have tried the best to serve the guests. My clients went to Johannesburg to attend a conference.Rooms: 5/5
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Perfectly located right in the heart of Joburg. Gardens are a breathe of fresh air excuse the pun, the staff are super friendly and helpful & just a brilliant overall atmosphere. Really is a home away from home. Highly recommended.
Check in was at 13:00. Only allowed us to check in at 16:00. At lunch, we were kicked to a corner table, that we had to clean. Because they did not book my group a table like they were suppose to. Booked a venue. And then they did not give us a venue on the day. Staff is very unfriendly, and give attitude. Food is stale. All round. A very disordered hotel.
Hi, I checked in on the 31st around 23:55,I paid for my room including breakfast for two...no one informed me what time my breakfast is or ends ,no one told me the check out time,so at 12h00 when I go to the reception to ask for our breakfast, I was told breakfast ends at 10 and the money is non-refundable and if i want to eat i have to buy from the hotel's restaurant... so I paid for a service that was never delivered and the level of communication was not appealing because if I was informed I would have done what I was told but no one informed me so I left the hotel hungry and had to go eat elsewhere.
The rooms are so dated and falling apart! Absolutely no attention to any maintenance had been done. The location was central and the staff were great. I just feel sorry for them because the poor standard of the rooms really let them down.Rooms: 1/5
It is the little things that count. The breakfast buffet was cold and some items ran out. Staff were very noisy clearing up whilst the guest speaker was talking. Foyer gents toilet the whole toilet seat was loose, not even fitted on to the toilet. Poor inspection and maintenance. Not what it use to be 25years ago.Service: 3/5
It's okay but it needs better maintenance and improved service levels . It's location used to be great in the days when there was no crime and grime. Security in the hotel grounds is top notch. Safety: Security is top notch.
Well maintained , value for money and the rooms are spacious like no other. Gym , pool wow , what more can one ask for Rooms: Spacious and very comfy Nearby activities: Everything is within driving range. Enjoyed this place coz of its situation , close to malls and theme parks
