SunWa River Lodge, Parys

The river provides a soothing sound from your room. Wherever you look, there is beauty! Friendly and helpful staff members. A lovely swimming pool to cool off o those hot summer days! Fishing spots. Lovely shaded swing benches to sit and enjoy the view. A perfect wedding venue with all your catering needs met. Highly recommend Sunwa! Nearby activities: There is river rafting offered close by. And you can rent the place for functions.

Gorgeous Lodge and view. The food was absolutely amazing. The people running the lodge, however, were racist and not very friendly at all. Paintball was also a complete joke but we were given a full refund for that

Attended a wedding here. 10/10 for scenery. The views are amazing, the lodge rooms meet all the requirements for a great stay, a pool right by the river, and ample facilities. Catering for the wedding was good, and staff are friendly. Would definitely recommend. Keep up the good work guys!

After the flooding early in 2022, the venue is abandoned.Rooms: 1/5

Spent the weekend at Sunwa, as we attended a close relatives wedding, the venue had beautiful views for a wedding, but the accomodation wasnt up to standard. Some of the rooms were flooded, had no water, the beds were dirty. Roofs were leaking, drainage was blocked. They did not have enough cleaning staff to clean. If you cant accomodate the numbers that the wedding party requires, pls make this clear. Suitable accomodation could have been booked at surrounding lodges. Dont be shortsighted and chase the numbers.

Frienly helpfull staff...the supper was amazing complements to the chef. Big portions we could not finish it all. The breakfast was very well presented and tasty. Very tidy. Beautifull place!!! Value for money. The staff...wow you guys rock!!! We are telling all our friend and family Rooms: 5/5

The venue is beautiful, with an amazing view over the Vaal River. The food was well prepared and the bar well stocked and not overly pricy. Unfortunately, one of the guides was unenthusiastic and that is why I only give them four stars. In summary, a great place for team building or a year end function.
