Taverna Dionysos Restaurant

This is the best Greek restaurant in town. Food is consistently good, the menu is not very big, but there are options for meat, pescatarian or vegetarians. Also the have good menus for 2 people. They are very friendly, the deco is dated, but it adds charm to the restaurant.

One of the best food experiences I had in Amsterdam and I live here for more than 3 years. Staff is super friendly and the food is very well prepared. We had a few mezzedes not sure how it’s written and I was almost exploding for how much I ate, haha. We order the meatballs in tomato sauce, a pork that it was super juicy and melting in my mouth, potatoes, pita and a sausage okayish. The star of the night was the baked feta, simply AMAZING. Highly recommend this place! I will definitely come back and try the lamb and grilled prawns.

Nice food! I tried the Greek cuisine for the first time and it was a good change : 1. Kotópoulo Saganáki: Highly recommended. It was a very herby, creamy chicken dish. 2. Saganaki with Feta: A bit on salty end. Fried feta cheese. 3. Calamari: Recommend if you like fish. 4. Galaktoboureko: Desert with vanilla icecream whipped cream. The custard was soft and mushy. Pork dishes weren't that good. as reported by my friends The server was a very kind and helpful lady!

At my stay in Amsterdam last year in december I found this beautiful place. I am a fan of the greek kitchen. It was one of the best food experience Ive ever had. The best Greek food in the town. From grilled feta, giros ,shrimps to ouzo & retsina wine . Great atmosphere! Will come back soon ! Thank you for a great hospitality!

Amazing traditional Greek restaurant owned by a Greek family! They are extremely kind and offer delicious classic Greek dishes. Prices are very affordable too! One of my favorite places in Amsterdam

Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Food is mediocre and the alcoholic drinks are not opened in front of you.

Ok food at affordable prices. The dolmadakias and gyros we're ok. Grilled squid was a better choice. Two main course, one appetizer and bottle of mineral water were around 45e
