Went there to do bungee jumping and swinging. The only down side was climbing the not so stable rocks coming up from the bottom after jumping. ‍ All in all, what an experience and Food from the restaurant was so nice and yummy. Thanx to our waiter there Jordyn. She was so nice and served us so good

The trail was well marked, making it easy to navigate, and the abundance of shade provided a refreshing respite from the sun. The highlight of the trail was undoubtedly the stunning waterfall. Its cascading beauty was a sight to behold, and the sound of rushing water created a serene ambiance. Additionally, the trail's gentle incline made it accessible and enjoyable for hikers of all ages, making it particularly child-friendly. What truly impressed me was the attention to detail in creating a welcoming environment for families. The garden setting was a delightful addition, and the small jungle gym provided a fun distraction for the little ones. And after a fulfilling hike, the pool offered a perfect opportunity to cool off and relax, although I would advise against it during the winter months. Feeling hungry after our adventure, we decided to take a break at the on-site restaurant, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The mouthwatering pizza we enjoyed there was simply divine, satisfying our appetites and providing a well-deserved treat. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere added to the overall experience. The only minor drawback was the absence of Wi-Fi connectivity, which some may find inconvenient. However, considering the natural beauty and tranquility of the surroundings, disconnecting from technology actually enhanced the experience and allowed for a deeper connection with nature. Overall, I highly recommend this hiking trail to both nature enthusiasts and families seeking an enjoyable outdoor experience. With its well-marked paths, scenic waterfall, family-friendly amenities, and scrumptious food at the restaurant, it is an ideal destination for a memorable day out.
Lovely hike! We did the easier route, and it was great. The terrain is not too technical, and the distance is perfect for a quick outdoor walk it can be a bit slippery when it rains, so be careful. The trail is dog friendly, and there's a lovely restaurant where you can enjoy a lunch after your hike. Highly recommend.
I had my 50th birthday party at Sterkfontein Heritage Lodge this weekend. The venue was magnificent, the food was absolutely amazing and the staff went the extra mile the entire afternoon and night. I would highly recommend this venue for any function. They bent over backwards for me and made my day very special. Thank you Sterkfontein Heritage Lodge!
A peaceful and easy pet friendly walk. The trail needs some tidying up but otherwise ok. The restaurant was nice with good food and value for money. Nice to see enthusiastic and friendly youngsters employed. Will visit again.Service: 4/5
I've only been hiking with my GSD and we've made use of their restaurant. It's a lovely place. The hike is fantastic and we'll marked. It has 2 sections of which one takes you up into the mountain and the other part leads you to a waterfall. The restaurant serves a nice menu and staff are friendly. I've hiked here several times and used the restaurant a few times too.
What a gem, conveniently located in the middle of suburbia. Breathtakingly beautiful hike with a delishous brunch afterwards. The dogs were welcomed in the restuarant despite being a bit muddy from the hike. The menu had lovely vegetarian options. Our avo and haloumi wraps were generously filled to the brim! Very very reasonably priced good and hike. Brilliant service. Walkability: Beautiful views and a fairly easy walk. Food & drinks: Very generous portions and great vegetarian options.

We do Parkrun in the beautiful Sterkfontein Heritage Lodge's venue. Coffee afterwards, nice atmosphere, friendly staff.
