To all the Moms parents out there, who wonder what to do. Is the ADD Lab the answer? We can affirm that it is the best decision we have made for our son to date. We started our journey with the ADD Lab approximal 2 years ago. I was so tired of teachers assuming and labelling Chris with ADD. Using a stimulant drug was never an option to me. In fact I ignored the teachers recommendations. Then one day Chris, my son, said to me that he would love to finish his work like the other children in the class and that he cannot do the same because everything around him is just too loud for him to stay focused. It's then that I decided that I will help him because he asked me and not because of what the school system expected of him. He was in Gr 2 at that time when I contacted the ADD Lab and we started our journey. For us it was a bit challenging because we didn’t live in South Africa but in a neighbouring country of Swaziland. The whole process with the ADD Lab has been one of my most enriching and most beneficial experiences in our lives ever!!! Yes, the initial appointment was scary, thinking to myself, how will I get Chris to sit down quietly for such a long period of time, all the blood tests, treatments and on top of it all we don’t  even live close by. On the contrary with almost immediate effect from starting with treatment the teachers had noted a marked difference, slight but they did acknowledge the change in his behaviour. Together with Mitzi’s experience in this field  and with all the help from the team of specialists, my eyes opened to the science of the human body.  It was all so fascinating to understand that from conception and birth, how the nervous system and the listening through the ears all influence the way the brain reacts and functions on a daily basis. Also the blood tests confirmed the qEEG test reading was alone a sign that we are moving in the right direction and then from there the TRE development and how that stimulates the brain. We then followed the Tomatis process and found out how that assists with listening and not just hearing. Just mind blowing! We are now 2 years down this road, Chris preforms exceptionally well at school and his all-over quality of life is by far greater than before. Out of the blue, a few weeks ago, he asked me why I took him to that place where he had to put on the cap with all the wires and do that test which I then shared with him. When I asked him why his asking his answer to me was: “Mommy I feel so much better and different since that day.”  If a 9 year old child can confess the he feels better than he did a few years ago, that alone is the best reason to visit the ADD Lab, not because schools and teachers tell you that there is something wrong, but because you want to REALLY help your child without making him dependent on a tablet so survive in this world!

Absolutely groundbreaking, all the educational psychiatrist and therapist and and and recommended stimulants for the ADD, guess what it turns out that a stimulant would have caused epileptic fits in my son! There is no way any responsible parent or doctor can give the type of medication required for the treatment of ADD or ADHD without the information provided by the tests done at the ADD lab
Thankful and trustworthy with "out of the box" plans for our precious daughter who had constant seizures.
Such an eye opening experience, very professional and really worthwhile.
