Only two central air conditioning units in the house, only three windows that can open, the main bathrooms toilet did not have a seat. Not enough towels for all of the guests. It seems to be under new management which may indicate that they are still finding their feet. At least the management was more than willing to do anything to make it more comfortable where possible

A 10 sleeper, 5 bedroom 5 bathroom, self catering home sound great for a family retreat, but be warned. The ground floor has 3 bedrooms, two of which have en-suite bathrooms. None of these bathrooms have doors however, neither can their windows open. This would be fine if these bathrooms had doors, but they don't. Apparently after the "Oscar Incident" it is okay to watch your significant other from your bed. So only do nr2 in the one separate bathroom with no toilet seat, because the bedrooms also have no functioning window, fan or air-conditioning. So no ventilation means that your towels don't dry, there is always a musty smell and on hot days you succumb to the overwhelming heat of the lowveld. The top two bedrooms are not that much better. They have the same problem of no divide between the bathroom and the bedroom. This time around you have the extra room for the smell to dissipate as there are no ceilings in these rooms. But don't worry, at least one of these rooms have windows that can open. The flight of stairs is akin to a jungle gym ladder and that toddlers and adults alike fit comfortably through the gaps in the balustrade. Also bring your own cutlery, as there are only 5 or 6 of each item, no steak knives whatsoever and 5 cups and 1 small plate, all clearly the collected detritus of many garage sales and/or dumpster dives. Remember to take your own braaier as the one in the entertainment area does not let smoke out the top as the chimney is the size of a whiskey bottle. Other than that and the fact that they leave three towels for ten people, you have to constantly tell the other people who booked and paid to stay there that they can't and must go elsewhere multiple times in three days and there are no cupboards so you will have to live out of your suitcases, this place adds little comfort or luxury and gives you that great "roughing it" feeling.

Lots of problems at this place
