Our main purpose is to win souls to Christ through personal witnessing, testimonies and the strategic placement of Scriptures.
By 2020 The Gideons International in South Africa will:
-have a support structure that facilitates a culture of excellence where 100% achievement, commitment and effort is the benchmark;
-distribute Scriptures to all the selected areas, falling within the mandate of The Gideons International;
-Involvement of 100% of the members in camp activities;
-Establishment of a proactive relationship with each eligible church in all camp areas.
The Gideons International is an interdenominational association of Christian business and professional men who are members of Protestant and Evangelical churches. Our Members are dedicated to saving the lost through personal witnessing and the distribution of God's Word in 200 countries around the world.
Anyone who supports our ministry and its purpose can become a Friend of Gideons. They do not have to become a member, nor belong to any camp. Anyone that loves Jesus and wants to see His Kingdom grow, can join.
The Friend of Gideons initiative allows non-members to get involved with The Gideons International and to play a vital part in the ministry's growth through prayer and financial support.
