What a lovely experience, for kids and adults alike. Great coffee, play area for kids and the experience of seeing a variety of animals. The encounter was also very good. From tarantulas to a Burmese phython.... Great information and sharing of knowledge. Very enjoyable. Highly recommended.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Even on a rainy day it was absolutely worth visiting the amazing giraffes... all animals are well taken care of, cages are clean. Sad that visibility is quite impaired by lots of fine fencing and giraffes can't be fed anymore since covid times. Would be lovely to go to the top of the wooden frame at the giraffe's space to at least get a better view of them. Coffee is also fantastic and there is loads of parking. There is even a lovely designated area for kiddies to have a party.
Great place to bring children to see some amazing animals. They also have a small animal demonstration that involved the kids excellently to learn more about the creatures and what they contribute to the world. There is lots of place to rest, a small cafeteria area for drinks and snacks and a lovely atmosphere.
What an enjoyable place to visit with your kids. We got to see many small and large animals. There are springbok, duikers, reptiles, ostrich, giraffe, zebra, tortoise food etc. the variety of animals will definitely keep kids entertained. There are also party venues, a snack shop, outdoor play space and jungle gym. We were a bit disappointed that there was no feeding allowed, we hoped that we would be able to purchase food to feed the animals but unfortunately post covid they do not allow animal feeding by the public. We bought entrance tickets at the park and our baby had free entrance as she was not yet 2.
Had a kids' party here, and it was really awesome! Kids enjoyed the lizard show and all the other animals. We will definitely be back soon!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
We visited Giraffe House for the first time during the December school holidays and we absolutely loved it. There was no cue, the entrance fee is more than fair and you'll find lots of space for the kids to run around. There even is a playground in front of the little snack shop where you can take a break and eat some ice cream in case you need a little break. But of course, the highlight is the many animals in the park that range from big to small and it's so much fun to discover them all and learn some fun facts. We also attended the Reptile Show where we got some hands-on experience with snakes, lizards, fat frogs and scary spiders. The length was perfect for even smaller children and very interesting to follow the show. We will definitely come back more often to admire all the wild animals in a beautiful environment.
Definitely worth a visit especially for children. The animals are in a very good condition. The water bowls, feeding bowls and cages / camps are very clean, green and in good condition. R85 per adult.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
We had a great time with our young one, place looks to be well maintained and the animals are well looked after. Bathrooms need a bit of TLC but it was a very busy day. Great show about reptiles presented by a humorous and very knowledgable caretaker who also allowed us to touch the Burmese python.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
A great outing to see some giraffes, zebras, tortoises, smaller animals as well as some reptiles. Unfortunately post-covid, you’re unable to no longer feed the giraffes. The space could be maintained better as it was looking extremely dry during the heart of summer, with many areas within the enclosures that had close to no green grass. However lots to see regardless - estimated around 2hours to see everything. Be sure to pack in sunblock, cold water, sunglasses and a hat/cap when going.
Kids enjoyed themselves...The information & interactive sessions with the creepy crawlies was great...As I admired it from a distance...
