We were very warmly greeted by Karen and we were booked into the Donkey Stable which was very warm and comfortable on a cold and wet evening. Hot showers and all the necessities combined to make an inviting impression on us. The staff were very helpful the next morning when we discovered we had a puncture before departing. And the breakfast was beautifully laid out for us in the Old Jail itself but sadly we had had a bad night with food poisoning from something we'd eaten on our journey the day before so couldn't enjoy breakfast to the fullest. The staff were very willing to accommodate our need for simple food. All in all a caring and welcoming experience.

Most beautiful & stunning place! An absolute recommendation to go and stay here for everyone...very unique guesthouse with interesting history & lots of love to detail!  Peaceful & Quiet here for lovely relaxation!

A very special and wonderful place. Each 'cell' is actually a very tastefully decorated room, with private courtyard and bathroom. The friendly owners have restored the place with lots of love and amazing detail.

They're right, this is a place you won't want to escape from! Karen and Oleg have done a stunning job renovating the Old Jail and it is well worth a visit whether just for one night or longer to enjoy the magnificent surroundings of the Karoo and the Baviaanskloof. Highly recommended.

This undoubtedly is much more than an interesting place to stay. Friendly and spotlessly clean it is deserving to any visitor. More, it is authentic, it is a real old jail!Rooms: 5/5

Meticulously and tastefully restored building.  Efficient and friendly host and staff.  Would have loved to have stayed longer but will be back!  Highly recommended.

You cannot beat the KAROO hospitality. This is a GEM of a place in Willowmore. You will not be dissatisfied with your stay here.

Very beautiful place and extremely friendly hosts. Will be back for sure, this time for a weekend or longer!
