I loved everything about this place. Super polite and extremely attentive staff. Here you feel like you don’t even meed to walk, someone will run to carry you. We got a complementary upgrade to the ocean view; it was amazing. Pool is fun and beach is super cool you have direct access. We dined at the grill room, I felt like I was in a 80’s American romantic movie on a cruise. Was lovely. The breakfast on the terrace was also amazing. Top notch selection on colds and hots, sparkling wine and you can even upgrade to oysters. We’ll probably be back.
The best place for a celebration. The breakfast buffet is legendary. The food is phenomenal and service is excellent! Truly a world class experience not easy to find in South Africa. I always celebrate my birthday at the Oyster Box with good reason.
My family and I spent a glorious afternoon together enjoying high tea. What an afternoon it was! I felt like royalty. The service was outstanding and I was quite honestly overwhelmed. All the staff were exceptionally polite and efficient. I am unused to having people open doors for me, hand me a towel in the cloakrooms and treat me like I was an old friend. Bravo Oyster Box for holding fast to some old traditions and making your guests feel so special. The food was superb with a wide variety of delicacies to choose from. My wife and I are humble teachers and it was such a wonderful experience to be pampered for an hour or two.
It was my first visit, and the service from the guy at the access control to the receptionists, security and waiters was second to none. I was really impressed with their service nsand friendly nature always willing to go that extra mile with no fuss for their guests. Really amazing experience. Highly recommended.
We lived in South Africa 1986-2006. Oyster was always a highlight when we visited the coast. Loved the iconic lighthouse. Beach is pristine and loved eating breakfast out on the patio, enjoying an ocean view. From current reviews, glad to see it's still a classy place.
Always spend our anniversary at the grill and the service is always beyond 5 stars. We always come in smiling and leave beaming and food is exceptional! You can not go wrong!Service: 5/5
This place will give you the most amazing five star experience you will ever experience to the tee. Very top tier service and attention to detail right to the smallest of things you could imagine. Still one of the more unique Hotels in KZN. Looking a little dated in places but no where near as dated as its neighbor. Great service from staff. The restaurants food is okay, and the Sushi was disappointing. Centrally located and easy access to beaches and malls.
The night lights were beautiful, serene, with the sound of the waves washing ashore. The lighthouse at night looks exquisitely beautiful. The food however was not to my liking, not sure if it was just what I ordered. The service is impeccable. For dinner with a view it's a definite must.
We had Lunch to Celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. The Food were Delicious and received Excellent Service from Marcus. Well Done!Service: 5/5
