Beautiful Polokwane (Pietersburg) Plateau that you've passed through on your way here and the dry hot lowveld after the (R71) has dropped down the escarpment through the picturesque Magoebaskloof to Tzaneen - to quote from the Scottish author John Buchan when he visited the area more than a hundred years ago.

Here is a true lodge in the wilderness, with on the one side the stony Pietersburg uplands, and on the other the malarial bushveld. The contrast makes a profound impression, since the Woodbush itself is the extreme of richness and beauty.

We stumbled upon this place by coincidence and instantly fell in love with it. Tania and her husband are extremely kind and hospitable people. We had great conversations with them. The food and drinks are good, we got to play the piano and browse through countless books. 100% recommend this place!Rooms: 5/5
Great for an overnight stay and close to local pubs and eateries. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Room is spacouis and comfortable and the fireplace is an awesome value add.Rooms: 5/5
Didn't stay but had a tremendous breakfast despite load shedding. The book shop is a must Food & drinks: Fab breakfast
Sad that we cold not stay another night... We checked in at this beautiful self catering cottage in the town of Haenertsburg. The rooms are spacious and clean. Our room had a built in fire place, so cute. There are cooking facilities, utensils and refrigeration in the room if you ever wanted to make something. We tried out the local eateries in the area and ALL of them were amazing. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and also served us the next morning in the little restaurant. I recommend the coffee and the toasted sandwiches!!! We will be back.

We spent five nights at this gorgeous little place. Staff are super friendly and we really enjoyed our time there. We won't hesitate to go back there again.
A place where you can relax with an excellent cup of coffee. Some gems between the books if you take the time to look for them. Prompt and friendly service
Lovely old diggers style cottages in the village. In the main street yet quiet and semi private. Friendly and helpful people. Accommodation, service and friendliness are always of the highest standard. Clean rooms. Braai facilities. General dealer, FNB ATM, pub, restaurants closeby.
