I will never go back to the sewing room!..terriblly shocked at the service I got and attitude from the elder lady at reception. She was superficially nice on one day and rude the other. I even observed how sarcastic and rude she was toward her workers, I felt so bad for them. After having bought school pants from woolworths and paying quite a sum too I had to pay the sewing room a large amount just to take in the pants at the waist. What shoddy work, the loops even cut open in a week. When I took it back with my invoice the lady was on her off side it seemed.. She even asked me in a challenging manner if my child was fat as the loops gave way, which he is quite the opposite just to state the facts! She proceeded to take out her invoice book, I was so upset by then I asked if she was Going to charge me again to fix up their poor work, she sarcastically said well im not going to charge you that much come on man! I couldn't believe what was happening, I immediately asked back for the pants and left only to drive out to another tailor to pay a 2nd large amount to rectify the entire mess. Never again, the lady at the front desk is not suited to deal with customers.Service: Alterations

The needlework was standard but the lady who assisted us was particularly rude. When chatting to other people about it, it's become apparent that they've got a poor reputation for this. Won't be going back.

The old lady is very sweet ,she was very warm towards my daughter and me . The ladies at the back too. Place is neat and Granny was wearing a mask and there was enough ventilation

Had some trousers made for my elderly mother and some others adjusted. Great service and wonderful attitude. Even delivered to the frail-care for my Mother. Thank you very much.

Shocking service!!! Received the worst customer service from the sewing room after mending a garment it literally broke immediately after I got it back, when approaching the owner about the fact it broke right away she immediately shifted blame onto me stating I had made a “poor buy”. Absolutely shocking customer service no attempt to try rectify the problem at all. Won’t not recommend!

What absolute disloyal and trash service. We received my fiancé's dress after it had been altered. We were satisfied with the work that Nozie did. The true tragedy is what came after. A woman by the name of Angie was in charge of giving us the dress on the day that we went to go collect it. To her knowledge, she did not know that we had actually been there the day before for the fitting, and the agreed upon price that had been discussed with Nozie was R500 for the work that was done on the dress. The next day, when Nozie had already left for vacation, she left Angie in charge to give us the dress. Nozie phoned my fiancé to notify her that the dress was ready for collection and mentioned nothing about any changes to the price that was agreed upon. Angie, the owner, later phoned to confirm that my fiancé would be coming in that same day because she Angie had already paid Nozie the money from her own pocket because Nozie had to leave earlier. When we got to The Sewing Room, my fiancé was shocked when all of a sudden she had to pay R800. Angie insisted that R800 was the amount that she had given to Nozie. When my fiancé said that R800 was not the price that was agreed upon between herself and Nozie, she Angie was persistent in saying that R800 was the price she paid this was after no extra alterations were done between then and the previous day. Angie showed my fiancé that on the dress was a tag showing R800. Upon closer inspection you could see that THE PRICE WAS ALTERED! The original R500 that Nozie wrote on had been changed by simply pulling a line from one end of the "5" to the other to form an "8". This was so blatantly obvious for two reasons: 1. It was clear as daylight that the lines did not match and 2. the original price was written with a black pen and the alteration was done in red pen! My fiancé told Angie to call Nozie to confirm, to which Nozie confirmed that the price was in fact R500. Nozie confirmed that Angie only paid her R500 and not R800. After a bunch of excuses were made about how the price suddenly changed, my fiancé was able to pay the R500. When doing so, she was given no proof of payment. My fiancé insisted that she get one to confirm that the dress was paid in full, but a myriad of questions were first asked about why she wanted it. It's obvious that any transaction needs a proof of payment to avoid any business misconduct. That should be obvious to all businesses. It is unfortunate that this was our experience at The Sewing Room. We do not recommend this business and we were not given anything close to what would be considered a professional service. Once again, Nozie's work on the dress was exceptional, but the service we received from the owner Angie was horrendous.

WOW THIS PLACE IS SUPER PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. ANY GARMENT ALTERATION IS DONE PERFECTLY. I FOUND MY MAGIC ROOM FOR ALTERATIONS. THEY MUST RENAME. MAGICAL SEWING ROOM. WELL DONE ROSIE AND AWESOME SEAMSTRESS TEAM
