Description

The Verge is our Young Adults group from Harfield Church. We're all about doing life together, as well as creating a platform where we influence cultures, by putting God first, rather than being influenced. This group of 18 - 30's meet every Wednesday at 7.30 as a hub, as well as having larger events once a month.

Spacious, serviced and well appointed but the constantly changing obnoxious smells were a bit much, as was the noise all night on the weekend. Will we book this accommodation again? Probably, but we will be very selective over when we do so and probably not book when we have a child with us because going to sleep before 1am can be a bit of a challenge unless you are absolutely bushed . No photos this time but what you can find on the review platforms are reasonably accurate and we were very happy with the comfort once inside.
The Verge Aparthotel is such an amazing place for your stay, when we booked two apartments for our stay we found them in a clean state with great furniture as well, not to mention how beautiful the bathrooms were. I would highly recommend reserving an apartment with them if you are considering to visit in Cape Town.
Very nice hotel. Rooms were clean and we had everything we needed, even a washing machine for a longer stay. There are lots of bars, restaurants around and a supermarket just around the corner. The only bad things were lots of loud noises due to renovations opposite the hotel and the smell of weed EVERY day. That was disturbing.
Overpriced for what it is. It's on the main road, just above the McDonalds, so it's quite noisy. The carpet was a bit icky. Had everything you'd need in an aparthotel though: safe parking, washing machine, dryer, & dishwasher.
The place was so clean and well maintained, got everything we needed in the apartment. It was a definite value for money...We really enjoyed our stay here and definitely coming back
Bad experience! Total flop! We stayed there in February 2022. The apartment was situated next to the aircon ducts of the hotel across the street and it made a constant unbearable noise. For this reason we had to keep the windows closed to try and get some sleep. There were no aircon and it was extremely hot. They provided a fan that also made a terrible noise when in use. I decided to use my own King size Egyptian sheet which they stole in the end. Also the matress was old and not comfortable. I had to take pain tablets for the back pain I experienced after a while on the bed. When I reported our problems to them, they promised a better apartment for free - it NEVER happened! No integrity?
We really enjoyed. Hotel is very clean. Staff are efficient and friendly. Beautiful hotel apartment. I would recommend to friends and familyRooms: 5/5
Very clean and modern apartment block with affordable rates. Lots of restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and other daily shops within walking distance which makes it very conveniently located. They do have a reception for check in and you are made to pay a R1000.00 deposit upon check in. This is refunded after about 10days. It is not mentioned on booking.com or other platforms but it is a legitimate charge. The only downside about this block is that they are no amenities ie no pool, gym etc. The shower was not draining properly probably clogged but this is an easy issue to fix. Hopefully maintenance attends to it as we did bring it to receptions attention.
Splendid experience at The Verge. I can go back over and again, anytime. What you see on pictures is what you get. Their services are also great. Highly recommend this place for anyone in Cape Town, especially if travelling as a small familyRooms: 5/5
Very, very hot, noisy and no aircon. Window in bedroom doesn't open. Very unpleasant. Also, wouldn't replace our broken fan and said there were no towels for my daughter. Had to ask for toilet paper which was never replaced. I can't believe the 4+rating having stayed there.
