What a great waste of money. I've watched Fast X in cinema no 2, and the sound quality was terrible. You could literally hear the other people eating their popcorn while the movie was showing. You could also hear the sound from cinema no 1, which was showing Super Mario Bros. I left halfway through the movie that's how bad it was. Ster Kinekor Secunda Mall will never see me again. If you want a proper cinematic experience, I suggest you stay away from Ster Kinekor Secunda Mall. Rather go somewhere else.
The service was slow even though I booked online. It's unfortunate but there was only one person at the time helping. The service received was very good but I do believe it can be more efficient with additional staff.
I payed for tickets and then it's cancelled due to loadshedding they did give me othe tickets to come back but every day i go there its loadshedding. So please get a generator or something but before my ticket expire or i want my money back
We have had so many bad experiences with this Ster Kinekor! We had sound problems, 3-D quality that was not set right, projectors breaking down, etc. The worst however is the viewers inside the theatres. They talk constantly and use cell phones. It is very expensive to buy movie tickets. We have to travel more than 120km one way just to go and watch a movie and then things like this happen! Isn't their supposed to be staff in the theatre that can remove or warn these kind of movie-goers? I am also going to send a complaint to Ster Kinekor as well.
I booked tickets online 2 weeks in advance. I was from Jhb on my way to the beach on holiday. They did not let me know by any means that the movie was canceled due to load shedding. I got refun vouchers but not happy.
The first time I came here the 3D was so dark that you could barely see anything on screen. Now I'm currently sitting in the cinema, the projector went out not load shedding and were just all waiting in the dark for the movie to maybe come back on again. No one has come to tell us what's happening or how long the delay might be. Definitely the last time I'm giving Sterkinekor Secunda a try.
It's a very nice place to go and spend you time off from everything but i did feel that it was a bit chilly
Great place to take your family. The stuff was friendly and helpful.
Movies have become unaffordable!! It's ridiculously priced. And oh let's not forget the snacks. Even a bottle of 500ml water will cost you a staggering R40. For a family of 4, we can't go to the movies as it's nearly the cost of a tank of petrol!!!
We had really good experience. Friendly service and good cleaning theater.
