Used to play soccer there. The field is always well taken care of.
Re: Outdoor cricket nets Pros: 1. They're free to use when club training isn't in session. 2. They use a normal pitch not a turf pitch and regular stumps can be knocked in for batsman and bowler. 3. There's plenty of room for long bowling run-ups. 4. Plenty of outdoor parking. *NOTE*: Park at your own risk. A friend of mine had their car broken into when the security guard vacated his post, at the Brickfield Road driveway gate. Cons: 1. Pitch is mostly grassy and grass is consistently tall. 2. Nets behind the batsman are littered with holes that let balls through into the tall bushes. 3. Tall bushes with random hidden lengths of rusted barbed wire mean that any balls that do escape, through said holes in the nets, are hard and dangerous to retrieve and are easily lost.
This was not a recreational visit. One star because we were on the front line holding fort during the riots and looting. This was a key entry point into our area. Five starts for all the local brave men who stood guard and continue to do so.
Joys of being a soccer Mom. Tills looks like it's not well maintained on the outside but I was pleasantly surprised with clean ablution facilities. Most of these Sports grounds are not very well maintained.
Lovely and vibey sports ground. It doesn't matter the occasion or sport. The grounds is well kept and has sufficient space for all types of extra mural activities.
