The food I purchased was bland and unappetizing. Bought a prego steak roll and it disappointed me to the core. The bun was stale, the steak was unseasones and bland, the overall contents of it was just appalling. Never buying food there again.
Could you spare the chips? Ordered 4 x burger and chips. But disappointed with the kiddies size portion of chips.
Very quick, I never have to queue here. The woman behind the till is quite funny and no nonsense, bit of banter as you shop.

The Portuguese lady is extremely rude and this shops sells expired food. They wanted to change a cheese label to cover up that it has expired. Quickly saw them and left. Check the dates when you buy from them.
Terrible service, especially from the Portuguese lady. Yesterday they charged me R78 for two jumbo viennas. I phoned and ask how much is a vienna, and she replied R28. She told me to bring it back and dropped the phone. Previously I bought rolls and viennas, and asked if they can please cut the rolls open for me in order to put my viennas in, she blatantly said no and further said that tomorrow everyone wants the same. Very bad service.
Selling old and expired stock to customers. Was sold this bottle of cold drink which expired more than 6 months ago already on 15/01/2022 see attached photo. Shocking that old and expired stock are still present on the shelves and being presented to customers. Please check your items properly before paying at this store.
Alway bought my chicken pine cheese burgers at monchachos costing R 72,00 each, But I was at this plus TJs the take away so ordered 3 chicken cheese burgers at R 35.00 each What a surprise to everyone, the burgers were amazing, but they don’t do pine, but the most amazing burgers, with chips cost extra R 10 What a steal, 19-10-22 Dagwood with everything in it, to big for me to eat R 55,00. Still cheap and made by white lady in kitchen, and served by a white ou at the counter,
Very overpriced for very disappointing food. For the price of their takeaways, one would expect their food to be on par with name brand fast food outlets. I will rather take the drive to Nonos bakery and takeaway in Claremont for a better experience. R92 for a poorly made dagwood compared to R50 elsewhere.
I found TJ's on a google search and thought I'd give them a try. Wasn't far from my home and I like to try local businesses. When I walked in, though it was a very nice setup and seemed to have nice products. Being my first time, I went to the take away counter to order. I looked at the menu and ordered the cheese burger and added chips. The man advised that I go to the till to pay which I did, got there and the young lady at the counter was not very friendly, treated as if I should know, walking in for the first time, how their business works. She seemed annoyed that I went to take away counter and told me very sternly that I MUST order at the till. I explained to her that it was my first time here and apologized. I felt that she was annoyed that I was there to order food. I was then told to go wait in my car until my food was ready. Can't comment for the other products in the store as I did not get a chance to see them as I was sent out of the store. Chips were great, burger was ok, overall portion was good. Will consider trying them again.
