Tshwane University of Technology - Bellville Campus

CPUT is situated right opposite the Western Cape University in Symphony Rd Bellville. It is a big campus in Bellville with beautiful gardens. All the buildings are built uniformly in the same face-brick giving it a very neat and structured appearance. The administration building, is the building with the fountains infront of it. It’s the building that you face as you enter the campus. This used to be the I.T building many years ago. It has since moved to the I.T Centre. There is a pool area, tennis courts as well as a big sports field. The pool area is where get-togethers and braais are held. The staff often holds their end-of-year parties here. It is situated next to the nursery that is on campus. Here they grow the very plants that decorates and beautify the campus. There are lots of geese walking around the gardens especially the pond areas. Around the pond, there are braai facilities for student should they want to relax. There are shops and eating places on campus making it easy for the students and staff should they require something to eat. There is also a Jamaat Khaana for those who wants to make salaah when the Muslims pray and a prayer room for Christians. What I don’t agree with is that the salaah prayer facility is right in the building where one of the shops and the pool and recreational activities take place. These places are generally very noisy which is not what people would want when busy with prayer. Cameras are set up all around the campus and there is more than enough parking for staff which has special parking allocated to them and students generally park on the lawned areas. There are student hostels on campus but many students find accommodation nearby. There are so many places especially being built for these students in the surrounding areas. It is within walking distance and taxis are in abundance, so travelling to campus is easy for students. The buildings has been made more secure over time as in the past students would protest for whatever reason and throw the windows and doors broken. It now has shutters to protect the glass and secure fencing around the parking areas that are close to buildings as in the admin building. There is more than enough signage indicating the different faculties which really helps with navigating your way around campus especially if you are new to it. Although students from all races study here it is basically a university created with the underprivileged in mind.

It's an almamata for the medical laboratory science student with very passionate lectures and many supportive structures but could do with more accommodations for students, so if you're considering the institution don't forget to apply for accommodation

The place is a good university, a little low on the infrastructure compared to other universities in the country and a but all the basics are met.

What a waste of Money, did a course in Logistics and Supply Chain in 2019, and still haven't received my certificate. maybe you should start with teaching within your so-called "University"

The ceremony was very nice, well organized, however, pronouncing my daughter's name as well as many others incorrectly was quite disappointing and embarrassing.

People are helpfully and friendly to everyone and it is a great recommendation for it provides great job opportunities too.

Its a very clean environment and safe place for students

Terrible Took too long to consider my application and then wasted my time when I found that I was rejected halfway through March
