TUT Soshanguve Pretoria

I spent two days at a wikipedia workshop on the TUT Sosha campus. Helping academics figure our how they might use Wikipedia start to record some of their knowledge in vernacular languages. Thinking back, i did enjoy enjoy my short visit in council chambers. Students were friendly and polite, security guards were able to assist me when I looked a bit lost which happens quite frequently. Sad that I not have enough time to explore, and visit the library. But on a quick walk about, I saw green manicured lawns, well kept gardens, a lovely water feature. This campus felt well maintained and secure. Seemed like a good place to study.

The institution is very informative and has many studying venues and open labs for students to use in preparation for exams. It is also secured and scalable wifi usages

Very good but the Area is very dangerous. As some drive-by gun point student and marging occur alot and at night going off camp is a bit more risky.

Went to write a test, my bag got stolen. Helpful staff but awful students. Security control is poor. Now my stuff is gone.

It's a safe place to peacefully study and get your career on the right route

Yoh. The inconvenience that comes with this institution. For a university of technology, things are pretty backward and slow. Things are still operating manually and face to face? In 2024? I won’t start with the staff and their incompetence.

At my time of visitation there were restrictions of entrance for the public at large as per security instructions due to an on-going strike, it wasn't a normal circumstance however my brother was able to attend his rugby training session that went well. Alhamdulillah.
