DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! SCAM! You will not get your deposit! We stayed with them last week and left everything in order – not even a glass broken. Dropped off the keys as instructed by them at a Caltex garage with a cashier and drove out of Durban at 9am Sunday. Now they want to steal our deposit R2500 and have made up a story about broken cable ties… which they claim happened after we left and they claim we are responsible for… even after we dropped the keys at a GARAGE as they instructed and their cleaning ladies ALL have access… if this cable tie story is even true Today 7 days after checkout – after I chase after them as they have not communicated anything with me - the lady Rhonda Irene Gird – the owner now lies and talks about broken doors / locks as well – which she has never mentioned before – only cable ties that she had claimed were cut off. Now she is lying about broken doors as well … I have searched on the internet and apparently they do this all the time and scam people off their deposits by making up stories. They need to be investigated and shut down – they are running a scam… There are many same complaints online!!

We used this Company on numerous occasions and never had any issues. This time around we stayed again at Lighthouse Towers but Unit 75. There was no Inventory List given to us to check that all the items were in the unit. With other units this was the case though. When receiving the deposit back, it was short by R70. Not much but still short. I had to phone them regarding this as they do not inform you they would be deducting monies and why. Apparently a tea cup was missing which Christine from Umhlanga Holidays alleged we broke. That is not the case. We used our own travel cups. Christine however was rude and did not want to argue but refer me to the cleaner to discuss the matter further. Really now? Speaking of cleanliness, we had to wash the kitchen towels in Jik as they were dirty and disgusting when we got there. The apartment generally was not the cleanest and we swept the place on the first day. Also, the bathroom door was left open which resulted in the whole unit smelling moldy. It took a day for the smell to disappear, only for us to have it back once the cleaner "cleaned" the unit the Monday. In the end I left this topic as Christine did not bother. Very disappointed.

Do NOT use this company. We have had multiple people stay at their accommodations and they will STEAL your deposits and make up random excuses as to why they won't give it back. I can't believe this has happened more than once and most of the accommodations don't provide towels, not for the beach or the bathrooms. The first excuse for no deposit was that the family broke ALL the locks in the house as if they used a hammer to smash all of them?!. The next family that stayed left the place and they told him their daughter left a small stain on the bed they had a small baby who was in a pack n play that THEY brought and never used a bed. I write travel in my office, and I would never recommend using this business to book anything in Umhlanga.

We are a group of 8 golfers from the UK and have used Umhlanga Flat Services on many occasions. The accommodation is excellent for us. The staff at U F S are excellent and extremely helpful. A definite recommendation. JH
