Vaal River Country Lodge

Allowed us to dock at their jetty without any reservation and before kitchen closing time, reception send security to ask if we need anything before the kitchen closed. Excellent service, food and docking site. Recommend to all!!!!Rooms: 5/5

OUSTANDING Customer Service. FOOD was out of this world. MANAGEMENT and STAFF very friendly and helpful. EVERYTHING about Lodge gets a well DESERVED 5 STAR from ME. From the FOOD, SPA, ROOMS, STAFF to MANAGEMENT. Keep it up!

Went there for a light meal at lunch from the river side, the service was great. This is a well organized and run Lodge being a weekend and we arrived rather late. Enjoyed the experience.Location: 4/5

Had the best family holiday experience at the vaal river lodge. Activities for the whole family and the service was outstanding. Best part its 45mins from home . So no expensive travel costs . Thanks to the team at the vaal river lodge . See you guys soon .Rooms: 5/5

Was there for lunch one Sunday. This place is clearly just after making money. The roof is in desperate need of work accept for one I assume it is newly build. Being a Risk assessors for insurance companies this Lodges is a big fire risk. A Lightning Conductors alone can't prevent a fire. You need some Thatch Roof Fire Retarded. Which I personally think is must be compulsory for Big Lodges. I will think twice before booking a trip to this Lodges. Ask them for their Fire plan. Service was also very poor.

Kind and friendly workers, they help wherever, fast service. Neat and tidy and the safety was felt every minute. Nearby activities: Play pool, soccer, play area, swimming pool Safety: 24/7 security. Food & drinks: Fast service.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. The place was excellent great activities for all. Overall a nice break. Rooms: Rooms were clean. Bedding fresh and very welcoming. Safety: Safety is great enclosed in a security locked area Food & drinks: Food was freshky prepared and a great menu great tasting too. Noteworthy details: Right on the river which is great.amazing views. Spa was very relaxing. Staff is all great and friendly.

Stunning view of the river from the Lapa. I went with my husband and baby during winter. It was so quiet. For some that may be lovely. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The service was great. Rooms okay. I had a back, neck and shoulder massage which was okay. The lady also a waiter kept looking at the time on her phone and her techniques were sloppy. Overall the stay was relaxing and not exciting. The only downer I would say was the cost of dinner and breakfast-R145 for a very basic breakfast. My husband and I paid R700 for dinner 1 night - 2 drinks,steak and chips and ribs and chips. The rest of the nights we had to eat out.
