The Centre for Entrepreneurship was developed by Vaal University of Technology in partnership with SEDA, Department Small Business Development (DSBD) and Department of Trade &Industry (DTI).
The purpose of the Centre for Entrepreneurship are:
- to support and enhance existing entrepreneurship initiative in the Northern Cape.
-to support the information of sustainable businesses that would access local commercial opportunities emanating from the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and other related projects
.
-to facilitate training and up-skilling of local communities.
-to ensure that entrepreneurs obtain a complete service that include technical, legal and business support service, to ensure that they can access supply chain and other commercial opportunities.
-to conduct research on various themes in entrepreneurship especially those relating to the impact of the chair on the local economy and the quality of life of the local community.
