The service is not that bad. The assistance should be able to explain or tell which book its the best or top rated. For example an English dictionary when you need one

I have used this store now for 4 years and they have great service, friendly and helpful employees. The store is also always clean. I would recommend that you put some chairs in there to accommodate those who are in the queue.

Absolute worst service I have ever encountered at a bookstore. Be prepared to wait an hour to find out that they will take a month to get some of your books. When I got a quote from one gentleman - who was definitely under the influence of some substance - misspelled my entire quote and couldn't follow my basic instructions. Their lack of care is disappointing. The line is always out the door, and I just arrived when they opened. You will not see my face again. A complete waste of time.

I made a quick stop by Van Schaik and I was impressed with the service. The guys there were very helpful and so eager to understand what exactly it is I wanted. Upon discovery that some of the things I wanted were no longer in stock in the province, the guy calmly said don't worry there is still 14 in some store outside the province and I will secure it for you with a smile.

My expectations were that I would find a store full of books as it used to be in our time as we were younger students at high school. But i found it somehow strange that it looked shallow and did not have that flair we used to as compared to the old days. So, you can get it back to its culture

The store is presentably displayed and offers a proper customer service. They do place orders for customers who cannot find their specific books which take about 10 days to be ready for collection. It just seems they do not stock enoughavailability of books as per the expectations their brand established.

They are verry nice frendly, verry helpfull. Go and try them out.

That we can't access the shelves doesn't work for me.. Almost a kind of gate keeping which is backward in terms of access. This occurs whereas the area is relatively safe compared to areas in Gauteng
