Visiting this picturesque location with my colleagues for a project. Such a quiet, beautiful morning in nature. There was, however, a bit of rubble laying around in one specific spot near the water as though people had been there in the week making a fire. Otherwise, it looks generally well kept and perfect for walks and hikes. It is an easy place to locate, following the road signs and there is an open area for parking park at own risk.
Stunning, safe hike for the whole family. Different distances available. Beautiful scenery.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Beatiful place to view proteas and other fynbos, couple of hiking trails also. Toilets need serious attention.

On our first visit here, we did the River walk and found it a bit difficult compared to other walks we've done. I would say it's more towards the advanced side than intermediate. The river walk never actually get you close enough to the river. I counted about 7 different species of bird, many tiny insects and a few chameleons. At the end of the river walk, very tired, we came to a crossroads uncertain which way to go. There was no sign but we managed to pick up a set of footprints on the road opposite to where the trail enters the road. Despite the challenges, we did enjoy the experience and we will definitely return and try one of the other paths.
Van Stadens Wild Flower Reserve. The wonderland floral reserve. We arrive at 11.30 the sun very strong so we drive along the way and stop to take the photos. If we have a plenty of time we gonna walk along the forest walk the sign give the information about 4.5 km. And the other way by the river walk 4 km. Should be
My favourite hike in Port Elizabeth area. Most beautiful view and so many beautiful flowers. A must do is the bird hide on the Forest walk.
Wonderful to be able to see such a great diversity of proteas growing naturally in one area. Drive or do the 4km wal Dow to the river or just enjoy the 4km flower trail in the burg. Exquisite.
What a great place to spend the morning! The wildflower reserve is a delight. I visited the reserve mid-September and the flowers were not yet in bloom, but the walk was still pleasant. There are 2 main walks to choose from, each about 4km long: the river walk and the forest walk. I opted for the forest walk. Stunning!
End of every month we visit the wild flower reserve on our way back to Jeffreys Bay from Port Elizabeth. It is so relaxing and a wonderful opportunity to see the flowers that have opened since our last visit. Thank you for such a wonderful place to visit.
