Good day My name is Sooveshni Singh.. I am 30 years old. In June this year I was employed as a receptionist for vector logistics at their ethekweni branch..I was working there for about 2 weeks when they asked me to leave as their head office requested for a black person to be the face of their company..this not only left me devastated but also feeling as the opportunities for me as an Indian is limited..also bearing in mind I have 2 children. For me to have started this job,my husband had to take an advance on his salary to put our son in creche and for me to have enough bus fairs to travel. After I was let go we were put in a financial crisis were we were short for the rent and food. I was paid my salary but was paid a smaller amount than the one I was told on my interview. I worked honestly and did more than I was told to but they did not see the value in me to help me after I told them my situation. None of the management bothered to help me or realise that this was unfair...for me I felt as if because they have good jobs and getting a good salary they don't need to bother about the underprivileged. I worked until my last day and even taught the African girl that they interviewed while I was there. I remember coming home in the bus and the tears rolling down my face ...feeling like a failure..how do I look at my kids and tell them their mum has lost their job and I cannot give them a good life..we all were so happy when I started this job hoping it will be long term but now its back to having just one income. My husband has to work extra overtime just so we can get back on our feet. This situation has also given me sleepless nights thinking why did this happen to me. Aren't we all one? I understand that the company has to score points with the government and so on but they could have tried for me to work in another department or have some humanity. Please consider my views on how this is so unfair. I have nothing against blacks and some of my best friends are blacks..if the management knew the company is bee based then why employ an Indian as a receptionist.. Before me there was a black girl as the receptionist...prior to her there was an Indian lady who worked as a receptionist for 3 months before moving ahead to the admin office..why was there no complain then? This has left me feeing depressed and angry. Life already is hard enough..all I want is to start a career and earn a salary so o can contribute to the household as well as give my kids a better life.

Professional fast service and friendly people that work there. In house canteen with good food and they got there own dam with birdlife and fish.

Very well received here. Extremely clean premasis, tight security and great staff. I loved it here.
