Unfortunately very disappointed in my PE Vovo Telo experience . I know Vovo Telo from Umhlanga, Cape Town and Harties and today was my first visit to the PE branch.... The original!! Reviews online were Excellant, so expectations were high and at first glance it looked very good I ordered a Mushroom breakfast waffle expecting a crispy, fluffy and warm waffle with creamy mushroom sauce. The description in the menu said "Two poached eggs, creamy mushrooms, caramelized onion & roasted Rosa tomatoes" What I got though was a half defrosted, flat, cold waffle with only a half cooked, definitely not organic eggs and no mushroom sauce ie, I got a disappointing breakfast waffle rather than the promising mushroom Bfast waffle ... The egg white was runny, which only added more liquid to the watery waffle. The egg yolk, was pretty white and tasteless. The cherry tomatoes were not properly roasted, only half tossed in a frying pan-therefore also pretty watery and cold . The onions were also only half caramalized-more browned and heated up than freshly caramelized. Didn't feel right to pay R88 for what I got. We left feeling like we could have made it better ourselves. At 11am they had already run out of their "famous" cheesecake which is one of the reasons we had come to visit. Only reason I'm giving them a 2 for food is due to presentation and good coffee. 4 stars for atmosphere and service. Staff were very friendly and responsive, food came out quickly and blankets provided for chilly weather. Sadly gonna take a lot for me to to return and try again...sad because classy gems like this are few and far between in PE.. Really had hoped for classic Vovo Telo quality.
We visited their new site in walmer main road. The drinks were great The burger fillings were good, just the bun tasted a bit dry. The chicken mushrooms pasta lacked flavor.,salt and pepper didn't help. And the lemon meringue had no lemon flavor, thd baker must have forgotten to add lemons- we could only taste condensed milk. I will visit again regardless, there is a lot on the menu to explore and location is good.
Best creamy scrambled eggs in PE by far ! so lovely sitting on their patio having a nice coffee and breakfast . Very peaceful, staff are really friendly and helpful. The quality of food is always top, never have I ever had a bad meal from here. The bakery section is just amazing want to buy every single thing if I could I would truly! Definitely recommend coming here for a delicious breakfast.
Lovely little restaurant situated in beautiful Central. Friendly and fast service. Great food and a stunning view of a cute little garden and other surrounding historical buildings. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
This was my first time going to Vovo Telo and it was an average experience. The atmosphere was dull but I mean it’s a bakery and cafe so nothing much to expect there. The service was a bit slow, the food however was absolutely amazingFood: 5/5
This cute little home away from home is amazing. Their waiters are all very nice and the food is incredible. From the vietnamese macchiato with 2 shots of espresso and caramel to their breakfast waffle everything was made to perfection! The portions are super big so you definitely get value for your money. If you're looking for something cold to drink they have these frostie things which is very nice. It's a lovely little family coffee shop.
One of my favourite coffee spots in Gqeberha.. their cakes and baked goodies are absolutely fresh and delicious. Good menu. Warm atmosphere!
Passing through PE for the morning and stopped in for breakfast. They have a large menu filled with fresh breads and a take away counter. The resturant is in an old house and has a really amazing charm and the staff is friendly and professional. I enjoyed two poached eggs and ham on a fresh croissant. It was delicious!
Pie served cold! Staff unapologetic. Cramped eating space. Coffee was good tho.Food: 1/5
My husband and I were in search of a quick sit down breakfast and came across Vovo Telo. Cosy little restaurant and bakery with limited seating. Service was good however the food was very bland. Banting cheesecake was delish.
