A quaint venue situated along the buzzing Vilakazi Street in Orlando West, directly opposite Sakhumzi Restaurant.  Go to this restaurant to experience the thrill of Soweto - the energy is electrifying.  While your first drinks order may arrive quickly, expecting efficient service thereafter is a tall ask - there are periods where you’ll be kept waiting for a very long time for staff to attend to you. Similarly, the food isn’t amazing and there isn’t a vast amount of variety on the menu, especially if you aren’t a fan of beef or fatty meat.  While there wasn’t a DJ on the day we went, several buskers stream into the venue so there’s a great deal of entertainment on offer.  If you want a venue that’s quieter than Sakhumzi, then this venue could work for you. Either way, it’s great seeing Black businesses thriving in the townships and Vuyo’s deserves our support.

I cannot believe the bad experience that I had. The food was fatty. The service was shocking and pretty much nothing we ordered came correctly. I am sad that this happened in my neighborhood.Food: 2/5

Probably the worst experience at an eatery in my life!!! The menu is just too small, then when you do order half the menu is not available. Poorly skilled staff.... the place definately needs some upkeep. Its just dodge. you are honestly better off at KFC!

My partner and I had a very unpleasant experience here last week Thursday and had I gone through the reviews, I probably would not have suggested this restaurant to him. Firstly the waitress did not even bother to introduce herself to us. We ordered food and were particularly surprised by his plate of kasinyama. All the great things mentioned on the menu were not there. We ordered pap and chakalaka on the side. The plate literally came with that, a piece of steak and 3 pieces of burnt onion rings. It was laughable. We had had a long day and were hungry- so we ate and left without a tip. That service and meal wasn't worthy.  Biggest regret and waste of money on our side. Nandos would've been a way better and CHEAPER option !!

Another great experience at Vuyo’s. Our server, Whitney was great, and the food was as delicious as I remembered it from my last time here. Definitely worth the drive from Sandton.

Late lunch we had me and my sister. The food was just amazing, loved the beautiful friendly service we received from the waiter. The music was too loud the music was so loud that me and sister couldn't even talk to each other or hear ourselves talk

We had lunch here. The tripe which was average but the service was poor. We were left alone for 45 minutes while waiting for the food. Even after serving us the waiter never came to check if we needed anything else. We eventually found them downstairs and requested out bill. So disappointed because I actually think the place has so much potential

Great mojitos both alcoholic and non alcoholic and atmosphere! It's a great place for lunch dates and dinner dates with friends. Limited menu but it's a great place to visit. It's next door the Nelson Mandela house.
