30 April 2020. I dealt with Johan Broodryk via whatsapp. Everything went smoothly. The service was excellent. The responsiveness was outstanding. Right up until after I had paid a holding deposit and something beyond my control happened which prevented me from being being able to buy the vehicle I was interested in and I had to ask for a refund of my deposit. I would have understood if my cancellation caused any loss of income or inconvenience, BUT 1. it was during lockdown, no one could buy a car anyway since they weren’t allowed to operate, 2. I cancelled a day or two after the deposit/reservation was made and I can confirm the vehicle is still being advertised. I asked for a refund on 30 April. After several attempts to get a response, I finally got a response on the 5th of May, and only a vague attempt at helping me. I was told as soon as they are able to open for business, my refund will be arranged. On the 13th of May I followed up again and I was told he’d find out and let me know. On the 18th I followed up again, no response. On the 20th I followed up again, I was told to send over my banking details and it will be forwarded for payment. 22nd followed up again, message was read, no response. Is this someone you’d like to buy a vehicle from? Think very carefully...
