We contacted Ginger to cater an 80th birthday celebration for 7 adults & 2 kids while we were visiting Kauai. She was responsive and helped me sort out the menu. She then showed up at our condo unit two hours beforehand, made an absolutely fantastic meal with help from her lovely sous chef set the table, served, and left the kitchen totally immaculate. Could not recommend her highly enough! A true delight that made our celebration so special! The 8 yr old declared “this is the best meal I’ve had in my whole life”! High praise, indeed. Thank you so much!

We booked White Ginger Catering for a surprise birthday celebration dinner for our family group of 17 adults and kids while vacationing in Kauai. I can't rave enough about how amazing this dinner was - it far exceeded expectations and made such a special night for our group! Ginger was easy to coordinate with ahead of time, came on site with her sous chef to prepare the meal, and left the kitchen spotless after her visit. We had the menu below and every single thing was amazing and very fresh. We frequent Bay Area restaurants and this was hands down one of the best meals we've ever had! Even the younger picky eaters in the group reported that it was delicious. I would definitely book Ginger again and highly recommend that you do too! Menu that we LOVED: Rainbow Poke salmon & tuna Local vegetable summer rolls Macadamia nut kale salad Purple potato mash Miso butter fresh fish & Kauai shrimp Mango cheesecake
I contacted Ginger a few months ago to set up a dual birthday dinner at the house we are renting in Princeville. She was very easy to deal with and accommodated everything I wanted for the dinner. Her menu options are numerous. I selected Mai Tai cocktails, 2 starters -fresh baked bread & rainbow poke salmon&tuna, Hawaiian green papaya salad, 2 sides-smashed fingerling potatoes & roasted local vegetables, 2 mains- butter Miso Kauai shrimp & herb crusted local steak, and 2 desserts-chocolate Flourless Cake & Lilikoi Cheese Cake. Ginger showed up by herself a few hours before dinner to cook. She also set the table, served and cleaned everything up. All of the food was very fresh and tasted delicious. She charges a per person cost plus food cost. We thought her bill was more than fair & also paid her a gratuity. We were very happy with White Ginger Catering & highly recommend her.
We had the most fantastic dinner prepared by Ginger on our recent trip to Kauai. Not only was the food amazing but she was so kind and caring at letting our daughter help in the meal prep. The whole night was amazing experience and one we will never forget. Highly recommend booking Ginger, if you're going to have a great meal on the island let her be the one to make it for you. Hands down the best meal we have eaten.
Ginger was an amazing caterer! We organized a birthday dinner for 11 people, and she knocked it out of the park! Her and her sous chef were so great- the food, service, and atmosphere were exactly what we were looking for. The food was beyond delicious, and we would recommend her for any event you would need. Her professionalism and quality of service were the best we have had. She would make any event worthwhile. Thank you, Ginger!
I truly cannot give enough praise to this woman! We hired Ginger to come cook for us for our anniversary dinner during our vacation here on Kauai. She was so sweet and came extremely prepared. Every dish was exquisite and we even had some leftovers for the next day. 10/10 for sure! Thank you Ginger!
Ginger prepared an incredible anniversary dinner for my wife and I in Princeville recently. The meal was well portioned and tasted as good as anything we've eaten at a Michelin star restaurant. Ginger is personable, professional, and left the kitchen at our Airbnb spotless. If you're comparing private chefs in Kauai, I highly recommend choosing White Ginger Catering, you will not be disappointed!
An unbelievable dinner for 11. The food from Ginger and her sister was delicious and effortlessly delivered. They arrived at the designated time to our time share and worked with the facilities present. The food was amazing and delicious. You MUST use them. They are amazing, fun and engaging.
Chef Ginger prepared a special dinner for the last night of our family reunion. She was very easy to work with in setting the menu together, communicated with me throughout the process, showed up promptly at our rental house and prepared the most delicious and healthy 3-course meal! She was able to accommodate the dietary restrictions of my elderly mother. On top of all that, she was meticulous in her clean up afterwards. Overall a wonderful warm person and a true professional who clearly takes pride in her work. If I am ever back in Kauai, I would ask her to cook for us again, in a heart beat. Thank you, Chef Ginger, for wrapping up our last night at Kauai with a memorable meal. My kids are still talking about your Forbidden Rice :
