The log cabins were stunning and clean. Aircon was always on as the place is very hot and humid. The pool was great and fun. We went to the safari which was awesome Maggie our safari guide is such a sweet lady. Rooms: Clean Nearby activities: Various fun activities but take note of the weather Safety: Very safe. Security on call. Food & drinks: We did self catering but there are restaurants around.
Wonderful family holiday, more guidance is required on certain slides and age or height restrictions should be advised. Hydro is amazing and very worth it. There is something for everyone to do. Alot of rowdy children at the kiddies pool with no staff present and parents are not attending to them, that could be better handled. Having a halaal restaurant is such a big bonus.
Absolute waste of money! We stayed in a chalet for my son’s birthday and aimed to spend one full day at the pools. However, our time in the pools were up after an hour as they allowed nearly 10 different groups of school children as day visitors. These teenage boys persisted in doing somersault dives into the pools- one landed on me, which I took as my time to leave! We looked on in horror as they disregarded all the other people who were there and the lifeguards were no where in sight. My son went on the slides and was intimidated by a group of impatient boys. Also, I thought that for health and safety reasons, the catching pools for the slides should be kept empty when children comedown the slides. Oh no- there were 11 children in the catching pool at one time! I reported my concerns to management but was advised that the quota for day visitors were acceptable on the day. That was not my issue- with your quota, why not ensure that the experience is enjoyable for all paying patrons? It was a waste of our time and money, but at least my son will remember the awful experience on his 13th birthday!
I stopped by for a quick visit. Wow! Very nice place. Historical. Beautiful fountains. The grounds were clean and well kept. It is worth your time to visit.Location: 5/5
Not all of the slides were open as some were under construction on the eve of the December school holidays. Different rules for different kids - some are allowed to jump and dive into the pools while my kid was not allowed to jump and dive into the pools. The slides opened long after 9:00 although they were supposed to start operating at 9:00. We used to love visiting Warmbaths, but its quite disappointing now.
We did not stay in the rooms at the resort, we only visited the water park. When you first enter there is a huge huge warm bath pool. Not as hot as a hot tub but still quite hot. I think we stayed in for about 15 minutes before we all decided to go find cold water. We went down a water slide where the lifeguards help my friends cuz they couldn't swim. They were very helpful. My friends were not drowning, They just needed help to get from slide to the steps in the pool. We stayed in the wave pool for quite a while, the water was nice and cool. There were lifeguards everywhere, and they were actually paying attention. There was a guy selling inflatable tubes, but we did not buy one nor did I find out the price. There are plenty of grassy shaded areas. Plenty of trees. Plenty of places to lay your towel. However, they do not provide any chairs. Bring in your own chairs and I people had coolers. The bathrooms were clean. The staff seemed very friendly. I would definitely recommend going. It was a great time!
I loved the place with its delicious breakfast. There's a bar inside the resort. Shoprite is nearby in case you need a few things . I enjoyed my stay , ideal for the whole family ,Braai area near the pool where you can enjoy your drinks and get to meet new people , whether you are traveling solo or with loved ones this is the place to visit.
We went on a day visit, what a lovely place to relax and have a great time with your family. There are braai areas available, we paid R 540.00 for 3 people but it was so worth it. The warm pools are amazing and so are the cold pools. My son enjoyed both. Lot's to do there. We have been there for a day visit, 3 times and enjoy ourselves every single time.
We had the most horrible stay at this place, still shook! We booked a 3 bedroom chalet for a weekend 24 to 26 November 2023 There is no landline, no WIFI, no power backup, we were left in the dark for a good 4 hours at a time as we had stage 6 load shedding. Room service cleans the kitchen only, the whole place was filthy the whole time we were there, we were also expected to use the same towels for the entire weekend, the furniture is beyond old, the fridge even had rust. Cherry on top was Sunday, we booked a massage for 12:00 so I went to the ladies right after, there was no water, I was expected to carry a bucket of water to go flush the toilet like I’m at some sort of camp site or something, I was beyond disgusted at that point!
A day visit is all you need or a stay at the hotel the chalets although clean are not up to standard need alot of updating. However the Hydro, all the entertainment swimming facilities are up to scratch if you have a family the is something for everyone....so do visit but I wouldn't stay there unless its at the hotelRooms: 2/5
