Wild Golf Just 4 Fun
ABOUT THE GAME:
Wild Golf™ is the GREENEST sport, all the rage in Europe and the best fun ever! All that is required is one Wild Golf™ club and ball per person, a course and lots of enthusiasm to have some of the greatest fun available.
Wild Golf™ has been developed for South Africans from a French golf game called 'Swin Golf' - which has taken South Western Europe by storm - and South Africa is ready for it, 4 fun...4 sure!
Wild Golf™ is Eco friendly, inexpensive to both set up and to play. It is great fun for all age groups and genders. Clubs and balls can be bought and used the very same day if there is lawn or where relatively clear space is available; and in a day or two if clearing is required.
A Wild Golf™ course can be set up almost anywhere, even at home, and courses can be as simple or as complex as is desired. Simple courses can be set up in a matter of minutes if there are lawns or clear spaces - even a child could do it. More complex courses - for establishments that offer entertainment to guests such as resorts, lodges, hotels, guest houses and the like, as well as on beaches and park lands, schools and sports clubs - can be commissioned and professionally built by us. This is achieved with limited or no environmental impact.
There are few rules in this simple game, and it can be customised to suit all players and any event. Event companies would be able to offer a unique and fun activity that could be customised to their clients needs. Everyone and anyone can play!!
HOW TO PLAY
Wild Golf™ has only a few basic guidelines, but can be customised to suit any situation.
Guidelines for playing Wild Golf™
a. Please consider others safety when swinging the club. It is dangerous and can injure co players
b. The ball is soft and is not dangerous but do not hit at fellow Wild Golf™ers, as it will sting them at close range
c. The ball can be placed or teed up anywhere on the golf course and on anything available
d. The ball can be placed up to three club lengths from where it falls to avoid obstructions, which are common in Wild Golf™
e. When the ball is placed, up to three club lengths away from where it falls, the ball may not be placed closer to the hole you are playing towards. It must be placed sideways or backwards.
f. No shots must be played off of hard surfaces (tar, concrete, rock, hard roads or very compact earth) as it damages the clubs. You can either play off a mat, which you can take with you when playing, or you move your ball off of the hard surface (not towards the hole) as far as is needed to play of a soft surface
g. If a ball is lost you can drop a second ball at the point it was lost without dropping a shot
h. If the ball goes into a Wild Golf™ green hole it is considered to be sunk even if the ball bounces out again. Your co-players must confirm the entry
i. The player with the least shots per round of the Wild Golf™ course is the winner of the game; the player with the second least shots is second and so on
j. The Wild Golf™ course managers may have some local course rules or challenges specifically applicable to their course and these will be explained to you on signing in to play
k. Wild Golf™ is for fun so stick to this rule, encourage others during your game, then you will be sure of a challenging and enjoyable contest
And remember…
Parents can apply specific rules to suit the ages of their children.
Companies who arrange events can customise the game to suit client requirements.
Schools can adjust and tweak the game to make it work for on levels of competence - from reception class to grade 12.
WHERE TO PLAY
Where to play is the best thing about Wild Golf™. It can be played almost anywhere. If there is a bit of lawn, the beach, some open veld or a playing field, Wild Golf™ can be played.
Lodges, guesthouses and hotels that have the space can install a Wild Golf™™ course in existing gardens with little or no earthmoving - and taking very little time to do it. In the bush, cutting back a little veldgrass here and there to facilitate teeing off and a clearing for the flag and target, is sufficient.
Your garden or local park are also perfect places to play - the soft spongy balls are unlikely to break anything and the distance between holes/targets can be small - the fun is just as big.
Of course, beaches are the ultimate! The big, brightly coloured balls simply roll back to the beach floating in on the waves. The soft sand is an ideal Wild Golf™™ course.
Schools should consider introducing Wild Golf™ as part of their extra-curriculum! Playing fields are ideal. The equipment is simple and so are the rules and the learners will love it! It can be as competitive or not - easily customisable.
