Had a proper meal here, which was delayed, but a nice and standard wimpy meal nevertheless. The place is clean, has a designated smoking area and a restroom, which is a big plus. However, I got the impression that either staff here was never trained in waiting tables, do not really care about receiving tips, or they are grossly under staffed to take care of a hardly full restaurant. Our waitress was always in a rush and didnt give us any real time to relay what we needed. She never came back to check on us even when we needed additional services. She just came, dropped the food and darted away, then to materialise much later on to grab my colleague's plate without even asking whether he was done eating Anyway, its probably unfair to rate these restaurants in much less populated areas such as Limpopo with top restaurant areas like Cape Town for instance. I'd say they do their best given their location.
The service at wimpy louistrichardt is so terrible,you sit on a dirty table for more 15 minutes without anyone coming through to clean up,disgustingthat’s even before they can attend to your order ,the service is super terrible.
Went into the store at 7.30, only 2 waitresses that ignored us completely. We sat ourselves down and continued to wait another 15 minutes before I got up and asked for some service. To my dismay the chef comes out of the kitchen to take our orders without us looking at the menu. We place drink orders and wait another 20 minutes. No drinks, no service... we walk out over to MIKE'S KITCHEN and receive a smiling face, with service and have the best eggs benedict ever.... wimpy your staff are pathetic
Waited for about 5 minutes to be welcomed for a dine in. Also had to wait more time for the bill. I do not know if they were under-stuffed but the service was rather slow. Nevertheless the food was proper .
One of my go to stops when I need to think, or just have a cappuccino. It's always busy but the wait staff are always lovely and warm, especially Mamsie.
We ordered Mr Delivery from them. The food arrived with half of our meal missing, and no sauce at all on the burgers. Despite ordering a BBQ sauce burger! Their listed phone number is wrong so we couldn't contact them to rectify it. I love wimpy but this is the worst one I have ever been to. Unfortunately it is the only one in our town. They even charge you R7 for a slice of lemon in your water!
The staff is patient and friendly and the burgers always keep me coming back for more
Shocking service. Waited 10 minutes for someone to assist, and after another 10 minutes of no service, got up and went to Spur where we had an amazing experience. This Wimpy was also extremely dirty.
I went to Makhado crossing Wimpy this morning. I wanted to order waffle but I was told they dont have the mix. I then ordered cappuccino and chicken fillet salad. The cup had black stains on the outside, the saucer was chipped. I ask for another cup, I was told I couldn't get another one. The salad came in a nice bowl, I was then given a plastic side plate to eat in that is usually used by kids. I was very disappointed of the whole experience. Hope you can improve and get new cups and plates.
It was my birthday on the 18th of July, my husband took me there for brunch. Red meat unfortunately was not in stock due to the lootings in Jhb. Their menu was very limited. But, the service was good
