Registration is a nightmare. The whole administration is a nightmare. Getting ready for the year and setting modules up in student portal is a mess. For a private institution I expected much better service especially for the price. Communication is lacking and it seems nothing is of much importance. Once everything is sorted the course, module support from lectures aren’t bad but administration need to step up. The 2 stars are for the online lectures which are amazing, but VC administration is such a led down. For the price it’s almost not worth the trouble, as previously stated if it wasn’t for the support from the online lectures you’d probably be better of at another institution. Please don’t use the excuse that it’s a new system. Get it fix…
ADMINISTRATION IS TERRIFYING, TOUGH, AND ANNOYING! Hire more skilled personnel. Considering the monthly costs that are being paid to Varsity College, one would logically expect assistance. Students will only find out then that they are not registered during the week before classes begin but they registered manually and off-campus, funds are not captured, the capturing system is incorrect, and there are long lines for no apparent reason. By the time you get to the front of the line, you are informed that the system is down or that you should return the following day, as if the issue will be resolved. They will advise you to wait for an email, but YOU will need to follow up with them rather than them. I genuinely feel like deregistering at this point to be honest. This is heartbreaking.
Dear anyone and everyone. I repeat, do not go to this school. I repeat do not go to this school. Firsty admin is a nightmare. I was a student last year at the sandton campus. Ladies and gentlemen education there is very poor. I requested for a transfer which ofcourse i went to pretoria campus twice to confirm if they did have space for me to transfer and they said they did. Later on after going back and forth with actioning the transfer pretoria told me they didnt have space anymore and this was just after i recieved communication that my transfare has been actioned. I skipped exams and missed most assignments even for the socond semester which then led me to drop out. I came back again in 2023 on the 19th of jan and my transfer was still not actioned. Canndice who was the head of something told me they are already full but they will make an acception because of the nature of the case.They told me to wait till the following week and nothing was done. I decided to follow up and only on the 29th of March they printed out a time table for me when ive missed 4 weeks of class togther with ice tasks and assignments. 3 days later my portal was fixed but with missing modupes and incorrect ones. I was then advised to log in a ticket which i did and was only fixed on the 15th of april 2023. 1 day later i couldnt log into my portal because of password issues which futher delayed my full on experience of becaoming a student at this institution. I am later told i chnt be allocated a supervisor because its alreadg alte . This Is purely on me because i was supposed to follow up as if i was not doing all that to get my academics sorted out. Now they are saying i must move to part time and that wont work because ive waisted so much money with moving and travelling to this school. Non the less i am busy taking this up to the department of higher education and i want to expose them in everyway possible because they wont bring back my money that i have spent doing nothing. Secondly i am going to involve lawyers and fight for all those learners who got the same treatment.
Excellent facilities, great look and feel. The focus on students and study journey for the students is evident with how the premises are managed. The Energy at this campus is colourful, Youthful and inspiring .
If I could give them a 0 I swear I would. I've never struggled this much with a simple registration. I had to ask a friend who knows someone from Varsity College to assist me. You can never get hold of anyone from the company. when you finally get through, they will either hang up or transfer you to someone totally new because of whatever reason. I'm now blocked out and need assistance from IT, its now been 36 hours of waiting for new login details and classes have started. I am not happy with the institution.
I do not like it that they spam all st Alban’s students with sms’s, WhatsApp’s and emails. I am sure students will message you if they take an interest in studying at varsity college but I would prefer another university like stellenbosch or tuks so please stop spamming me i am not interested at going to VC
This school’s admin is a complete nightmare. I’ve bought over 40 minutes just to try and communicate about my registration but all I get is being hung up on, “I will call you back” or holding for ridiculous amounts of time. My student advisor barely responds to my texts and won’t even call me back. What a joke
It's a very dignified school that one should never loose for his/her child, the staff with a friendly warm welcome . I salute them .
Varsity College is looking great after the renovations and good to see the students walking around on campus again. Road improvements, one completed will be an added bonus.
I really enjoy it its a very nice place
