Zylem provides agricultural technical services, aimed at improving sustainable farming. We manufacture biological foliar fertilisers & soil conditioners.
Zylem CC was established in 1991 by Justin Platt to provide agricultural technical services, mostly in crop production. Zylem’s client base consists in the main of large, extensive farming organisations with a desire to be at the forefront of their particular field.
Zylem also facilitates the supply of agricultural inputs via an extensive distributor network, including its own range of biological soil conditioners and foliar feeds and a range of plant and soil health products from Nutri-Tech Solutions (NTS), of Australia.
As NTS’s Southern African representative, Zylem advises growers on the effective use of NTS’s products, many of which are imported or manufactured here under licence and sold throughout South Africa by Zylem’s distributors.
Zylem also has a long relationship with KWS-Potato BV of the Netherlands and is their official Southern African representative, administering the breeding programmes for new and registered potato varieties as well as managing their contract seed potato growing.
Justin Platt is one of only three Southern African-registered consultants for the internationally respected Brookside Laboratories Incorporated (BLI), Ohio, USA. BLI offers to growers and consultants an outstanding analytical service for highly efficient and professional testing of soils, leaf matter, fertilisers and water.
