Wonderful neighborhood market with essentials PLUS wonderful local specialties. Having a post office inside is just an added bonus and the owners and employees are incredibly friendly and nice! A small town feel in the heart of a big city! Love it!
Don’t waste your money here at this store. Cheap unreliable products, dairy that goes to waste in days, a USPS store that haggles with customers when they make the mistakes. Put your money in well-functioning businesses, not failing pet projects from people who don’t know the first thing about community.
I like this little store. It’s a call-back to the old days, the mom-and-pop days. A disappearing breed, really. Seven-Elevens have driven most stores like this one into extinction. I don’t know how this little store has survived, but I’m glad it has, and the little neighborhood business district on 12th Avenue is better for it. What makes this place different from a Seven-Eleven? What makes it better? Well, it has its own look, and of course that’s nice. You get tired of the same corporate designs, or at least I do! It notably has a selection of interesting homemade-looking take-out foods, and these generate good word of mouth. There’s deli sandwiches, empanadas, burritos, bread, cookies, also fresh meats and cheeses. They have imported specialty items, such as sauces and pasta. There are locally-produced gourmet items, too. The most fun? A wide range of unusual candies, treats, and confections, more diverse than the usual Seven-Eleven, more even than a Safeway or King Soopers. There’s a Post Office in the back. That’s a hidden gem. People who wait in line at the Cherry Creek Post Office must not know about this little USPS satellite station. There are all the basic groceries, too. The staples - frozen, canned, bagged, boxed. It’s a clean place, spiffy and orderly. Okay, the fresh vegetable shelves always seem to be a little sparse, but the other shelves are well-stocked. Some people have complained about the prices. Others have complained about the customer service, especially back at the Post Office desk. I’ve never had any problems, but I’ve heard enough that I’m cautious. Overall, it’s a good store. The Twelfth Avenue Business District, at least for these two blocks, offers a nice mix: three restaurants, one hardware store, one laundromat, a realtor or two?, a coffee shop. And this little grocery. It’s an important part. Let’s keep it here.
The selection is great and they have a few things I can't find other places. The candy selection is really great too. Everyone is friendly there except for one person, who I was friendly and decent to but she sort of treated me like maybe I was a shoplifter, which I am not. I also sort of understand as there may be a few, that pester them. I proceeded to buy my groceries and went on to my evening. Anyway, overall, good.
This is a wonderful gem! Perfect beer selection, local goods, and a great staff. They are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend !
I dont know much about the market...every time I've been in it looks like a small, decent corner store stocking a few of your conveniences when you are in the city not too close to a grocery store. I've only been there to drop things off at the small post office in the back....they usually seem friendly in what little interaction I have with them.
Great selection of Mediterranean specialties like canned dolmas and gigante beans, along with most essentials like bread etc. They’re always friendly to us and our dog!
So happy to live near this shop! Awesome staff, friendly neighborhood place, convenient post office.
The owners are awesome. Good beer selection. Very friendly staff. Good job.
I love 12th ave market. The owners are so nice and the selection is great. I especially love the empanadas.
