Really wanted to like this place but it’s just very average with above average prices. The service was not attentive and barely came over to check on the table. The food took a while to prepare for a place that was only half busy. It’s your average eggs that come with small waffle and a hard piece of fried chicken. The waffle was nice but so small. I really enjoyed the grits with cheese on top.
A group and I checked this place out from a few recommendations we received online. Definitely loved the creativity of the food and hospitality we received from the staff extra shoutout to Melissa. I got the shrimp and grits and wasn’t super blown away by the flavor though. Felt like the dish could’ve used a bit more spice or seasonings. But overall everything else was good.
Wow….just WOW! Let’s start with service, I was greeted by a lovely young woman with a great attitude and smile. She was very helpful and kind. The staff in the kitchen were so sweet as well! Vibes were great. Food was hot and fresh. Thanks for the great experience, it’s hard to come by.
An ABSOLUTE must that you eat here if you are in New Orleans! Black owned and black operated!! The food was PERFECT!!!! They serve brunch on Friday's! They allow you to bring your own drinks to make your own mimosas!! The service was on point!!! They staff are very friendly and accommodating!! Features: They require you to be vaccinated or have a negative covid test to eat here.
Great service, chicken was juicy and delicious only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the waffles themselves were not that good. The toppings were delicious. I wished they would have added some flavor to the batter to taste more homemade and not store bought. But I will go back.
Certainly not fancy and no white table clothes but the servers are very friendly and accommodating. There are several ways you can have your waffle. They are pretty creative and the food is good.
I stopped by on my way back home and I’m so glad I did. I don’t know how this place doesn’t have more ratings. I got the caramel apple waffle and it was the best waffle I’ve ever had. You don’t even need syrup. The staff were all so friendly and the gratuity is already added into your bill for you, as all restaurants should do. But It’s only 18% so make sure you add at least 2% when paying. I will definitely go back and try the lemon waffle next time I’m in town.
A little away from the French quarter but just get on a streetcar and enjoy the view and short walk to this gem. The waitstaff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Everything was flavorful and oversized ha ha
Great tasting waffles. Got the waffle bowl, it was delicious, but a bit smaller than I was expecting. Definitely need to add sides to the waffle bowl, if you are hungry. The shrimp and grits were the best.
The actual service and food was great. I would have left five starts but after getting bill and leaving tip we overheard another patron talking to the server about a "tip" that was included in the bill. We left things as is because the service was good. The concern is that the information was not clearly communicated either on the menu or by the server. When a " tip" is included in the bill it is no longer a "tip" but a service charge which we would have been ok with had the information been communicated especially since people are not wanting to work.
