Man, I wish I knew this existed before I j went to Ra in the Fashion Mall thinking the Rio didn’t have any sushi. Ra was the worst experience I had for a sushi restaurant. You could get better sushi at Walgreens. I’m so happy that the cage told me about this place because now I have a great option when I need to get my sushi on. I had the 172 and the spicy tuna and they were great.
Intimate, hip, ambient atmosphere with real great soul and jazz on Thursday nights. Great sushi. The hottest music spot in Vegas right now!i
Even though we didnt get to experience the live music because of a poker tournament downstairs, I would have to say this is one of the most amazing places in Vegas!! The food was amazing, the staff was incredibly friendly and the drinks were great. We got to meet one of the owners/head chef who was such a great guy, the manager knew us by name and our waiter/bar tender, Jake couldn't have made this night out more amazing!! If you haven't visited this gem you MUST go. We will definately be back!!
Came here for the grand opening & a few times after; nothing really compares to the food here and you wouldn't expect such high quality dishes from a rock & roll club. Music has been good each time I've came and I really enjoyed my experience. Great place and definitely worth a visit if you're in town.
Great venue to support if you like supporting bad people. I literally watched a member of 172 Live Music's staff get in a patron's face tonight, and threaten them repeatedly for being upset with the venue for some incredibly petty nonsense. Back story, there was some album release party at the restaurant tonight, and at the end of the show the performers shot out what was objectively a negligible amount of silly string into the audience. Like, not even close to a full can. Maybe an eighth of a can. Apparently this was a HUGE issue for management. Within a few minutes of the show ending there were enough brooms out to start an amateur Quidditch league they were literally telling the people attending the show to "sweep up your s&*t", and a pair of girls was escorted out for playing with the silly string and refusing to sweep it up. There's another review on here about an overreaction at a Melvin's show they hosted, and this seems similar. I get it. You're a venue, you're trying to keep it clean, and make it easy to wrap up at the end of the night, but in any service industry related establishment the idea that you would have your paying customers sweeping up what amounts to virtually no silly string at all is mind boggling to me. Based on the woe-is-me attitude demonstrated at the show tonight, and in response to some of the legitimate complaints below, I can't imagine this confused fusion Japanese cuisine/Rock club has much longer left in it.
Very nice venue. Lounge acts Place to hear alternative top 40s live bands to R&B music to Jazz. Plus full on Bar just to mingo & listen to music. Every Thursday nights.
Small, intimate venue. Great sound and Raiding the Rock Vault is the best!
WOW...best fusion sushi to date. Finishes clean, with the taste of the fish being enhanced with the fabulous flavors. The chef is also very friendly.
Owner is incredibly rude. Food and drinks are overpriced. Whoever handles their social media account needs to figure out how to speak to people Either that, or hire someone for PR. I've never encountered someone from a professional business who talks to their patrons the way that they do. Inexcusable.
Great bands great atmosphere and the staff is fantastic. All the guys are awesome and our waitress rocked! Check this place out!
