I've used these guys a dozen times over 15 yrs. They've always been helpful, don't talk much about the weather. nor anything else. They have always been courteous both over phone, and in person. i have even purchased a couple parts at one time not knowing if $5 item, or $250 item will fix stove. I returned the $250 item after 5 bucks fixed stove, and they gratefully took $200 unused part back. These guys rock, and are open on Saturday. Will keep going back for business. I also have a weather radio to get alerts and updates on forecast.
SO. Happy. with this place! Igniter died in our gas dryer - had it in stock. No ordering and waiting! Unfortunately, the coils were dead, which we didn't know until that same night. Saturday morning at 9am, not only were they open - part was in stock. Great service, friendly and knowledgeable guys. And the prices are very reasonable.
1st Source's parts inventory is excellent but their prices are getting out of sight. Our daughter closed on an older house this week and discovered that the dishwasher door leaked. Needing a door gasket but not having the owners manual, I went on online. Gaskets for this particular model ranged from $14.50 upward to about $30. Wanting to make sure I got the right gasket, I went to 1st Source and was shocked when the clerk said it would be $63 which included a lifetime warranty. I protested and the clerk offered the gasket with a 1 year warranty for $53. Needing the part, I paid their outrageous price this time but you can bet I'll go to their nearby competitor in the future.
Nice staff .. I special ordered a part for 220.00 including the core charge get ..tried to return part . Which they would not refund Richard said he could not refund due to part not being an inventory part.. he only refunded the 60.00 core FYI I've been doing business with this company since 1991 I've spent a lot of money in that time. they all know me. I've ialays tried to use this company first. .. if they can't help a long term customer. I'll have to use them as a last resort.
Bill was absolutely fantastic & an enormous help! My husband works at Kirtland AFB but we live in Los Lunas. He takes our family vehicle so I’ve got no way to shop around, except for over the phone & even then have to make arrangements for how to actually pick anything up, which usually gets complicated. We’ve got four kids & we were looking at exorbitant prices locally or a few days waiting on an ordered but cheaper part. A few days with three of the four kids being very busy boys, two of them very messy toddlers, without a dryer?? Plus the pre-teen Princess who goes through nine outfit changes a day? Nooooooo!!! But Bill saved the day! He was quick & went over & above to help us get the part we need immediately at an affordable price so my little tornadoes can be clean for five seconds every day & I don’t have to pile up all the laundry for days to stink up the house with sweaty boy smell! Doing business the way he did created customers for life.
Called yesterday to inquire about a part. The phone was answered with "Thank you for calling, can you please hold?" Twenty-five minutes later, I hung up. I understand how busy places can be, especially on a Monday, but perhaps checking back in with the caller now and then would be a good idea. Another thought, take the caller's phone number and call them back to ask their question. They might even dedicate a few extra folks to nothing but calls during peak busy times since there is also the walk-in customer traffic at the counter. I've always had helpful service dating back to the Akrit days, but being left unattended for half an hour turned me off.
Edit: Came back because I couldn't find the part elsewhere. The guys were helpful. Parts came with lifetime warranty. But I just cannot understand how a water pump cost $100. All it does is spin. Can't really recommend this place except if it's an emergency. Called them on the phone to let them know I was on my way from Rio Rancho. They set aside a part for me. I got there at 5:29 and they had already locked the door. I knocked on the door, no answer. I called them to let them know I was outside. Apparently both phone conversations were with a call center at another location. 2 minutes later the employees walked out the door and past me and my daughter, got into their cars and drove away. I'll take my business elsewhere.
I called to buy an ice maker, after 4 attempts to get my call answered .. they wanted $162 unless I had a contractors license. I am trying to save $ as I am a single Mom on a very limited budget., on disability. I was able to purchase the exact same ice maker at Walmart & have it delivered free $50
Customer Service is not there. As soon as you walk in the guy immediate to the left sitting on his butt will tell you anything to leave and not replace the product even if you have the spare appliance part you need in your hand. Thanks to Amazon I receive my replacement part in 24hours and 50% less. So thanks to that wonderful employee you have sitting on his ARSE holding a Damn magnifier claiming he never see the part before. I would definitely recommend you invest in people with product knowledge. Also soft skills will play a huge part in customer that will do anything to avoid your establishment. You will never see a purchase or another inquirie from me.
They had my part on hand so I was able to get my repair done quickly. Another part, for an older stove, had to be ordered. Better than a different parts depot I had tried before and could not get this simple thing done.
