"Specializing in comfort food, 224 Boston in Dorchester is a neighborhood charmer complete with garden seating. You have everything from a Steak Sandwich to Chicken Milanese but the real showstopper is the 224 Burger featuring caramelized onion aioli, yellow cheddar, and crispy bacon on a sesame bun with hand-cut fries. The Veggie Burger isn’t half bad either, decked out with lettuce, tomato, spicy but sweet togarashi aioli, and pickles sandwiched between a sesame bun. Come in and join us – we are here 5 nights a week. Now serving brunch on the weekends.Located near Courtyard by Marriott Boston-South Boston, Holiday Inn Express Boston. DELIVERY AVAILABLE!"

The waitstaff were very nice! The food was solid, not outstanding, albeit overpriced. $16 for 3 pancakes with a few strawberries and cream. $15 for 1 vegetarian burger. The atmosphere is very homey and nice and I love the location of this little restaurant. The waitstaff, vibe, and drink selection are what bring regulars back again and again. Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options Kid-friendliness: Not a kid friendly menu at all Parking: Street parking only, very limited
Food 10/10 Drinks 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Heard this place was a secret gem and it’s definitely a gem! My boyfriend had short rib and loveeeed it, wished it was larger but because of how good it was he didn’t care! The cod was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Only in town for a few days but on our next trip we will definitely be stopping here again! Ordered the Gin Blossom and it was light and tasty, the Old Friend was a great twist on a Manhattan. Definitely took a few bites before taking a picture since it looked so good
Small place, good menu, had the Mac and Cheese with braised short rib. Tasty flavors. Would recommend a visit. Prices are fair, but on the more expensive side.
excellent experience at 224! came around 12 on a sunday afternoon and were seated immediately. menu has a mix of traditional breakfast items and some speciality dishes. the southwest omelette was to die for with the green goddess sauce and the crispy potatoes. would definitely come back here if i’m in boston again soon!
Hidden gem! Came here for brunch on a whim and was really impressed. Drinks and food were delicious - especially the breakfast potatoes - YUM! Service was really great too. Will definitely be back.
The home of the greatest breakfast potatoes of all time. We came for brunch but would definitely come back for drinks or dinner. What a great space! So many outdoor seating options! Great neighborhood destination but is also worth a drive!
Mia provided great service. Very attentive and nice. Went there with my diners club. I had the lamb frittes - very salty. Other party member had the pork chop - he enjoyed it. The other guy had the sirloin - perfectly cooked. We had the arancinis and potstickers apps - arancinis were good, a bit small. Potstickers were very salty. Fries are good. Pumpkin cheesecake - skip it. Drinks are nice and stiff. Parking is an issue around there. I'm sure the place is nice in the summer. Lots of outdoor space.
Drinks were amazing, strong and very tasty! Yummy twist on brussel sprouts. Sister had the steak sandwhich and said it was perfect and made good leftovers for the next day. I had the shrimp scampi and it was definetly one of the best I've had.
Having lived in the neighborhood for quite a few years, we’ve tried and tried this local restaurant, this time for the last time. The quality is poor, it’s overpriced, and it’s a far, far cry from the original restaurant when it first opened many years ago. How so many reviewers could rate this restaurant as highly rated as they did is beyond us. Last try, last time!!!!
It was very tight but I loved the food and services. I am looking forward to going back. This is the cozy tight action place.Food: 5/5
