2nd Street Cafe

This locally owned cafe is a hidden gem! My original breakfast plans got cancelled due to the place being closed which I am now glad it was! so I looked up places and this one had the highest reviews - for good reason! This was one of the best breakfast bagel sandwiches I’ve had! I got an everything bagel with bacon, egg, cheese, and avocado. It was dang good. The store is cozy and inviting. I was greeted by the owner and they made me feel like I came in here every day. Quick service, good food, friendly atmosphere, what more could you ask for? I would highly recommend this place!

Brought my 2 boys here this morning and was very impressed. Not only was everyone super friendly the food was absolutely amazing. Talked with some of the locals and they all raved about amazing this place is. I will definitely be back and will recommend it to anyone who wants some great food from a local establishment.Food: 5/5

My forst time here. I asked if the Reuben if it was good and that's how I judge the place based off the Reuben. Theo said yes it's the best and he's right! So delicious, the bread is so fresh the corned beef was tender and there was plenty of it. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Salads and sandwiches

Now THIS is a sandwich! And they are consistently this legit. I’ve tried a few different “delis” in Kendall Square and they are terrible compared to 2nd st cafe, not to mention overpriced. If you’re reading this looking for a good sandwich in Kendall Square, learn from my mistakes and save yourself some time and money and go here!

So I’ve been on a café kick! Oh I found a parking spot right out front and thought well I’m kind of hungry. I actually wasn’t planning on coming here. Well to my surprise customer service was phenomenal I was greeted by the owner and was talking with the cook both super friendly and kind I and not that fake kind of kind if you know what I mean. I got my sandwich and I’m currently in in front of the restaurant.I got a two egg cheddar and bacon everything taste fresh and delicious and it’s not a typical plain Jane sandwich. I highly recommend this place

I had an amazing experience, this was the quickest service I ever experienced at a restaurant. The staff is amazing, the food presentation was phenomenal, the coffee is very fresh, and the atmosphere is refreshingly relaxing. If you want to enjoy an amazing meal, come to 2nd street cafe. So good! Hubby and I went for lunch; I had a tuna sandwich on pumpernickel and he had ham and cheese on sourdough and we both kept making yummy noises while eating them : The owner and employee were super nice, too! Definitely going back.

It's OK but nothing special. The salad was a huge disappointment and the pork look in the Cubano was dried out.

We went here yesterday after reading all the great reviews. The 5 star reviews are accurate! We had a BLT with cheese on sourdough looked like a lb of bacon! and a Tuna Melt on wheat also huge. Both sandwiches were excellent and the amount you get for the price is amazing. We could only eat half and packed the rest to take with they were delicious as leftovers too!. The staff was very friendly and service was quick. We have found our new "go-to" spot when we visit Cambridge and we look forward to trying more delicious sandwiches.

I was in Boston for 24 hours and came here twice. I prefer to patron small/local businesses when I travel, and this spot had great reviews and was within walking distance of my hotel. The first time I ordered in person no wait, my sandwich was ready in 5 mins, and the second time I ordered online and picked it up right when I walked in -- both visits were seamless and the staff was kind/patient when helping me decide what to order. When I tell you they make made the best tuna sandwich I've ever had....10/10. They have lots of bread options sourdough is my favorite and the sandwiches are massive. I barely ate anywhere else during my trip because just half of my sandwich was enough for one meal. They serve breakfast sandwiches too, which I hope to try next time I'm in town. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a quality sandwich spot in Boston!
