Story

Our Vision includes:
* Live/work gallery space for professional and student artists
* Community gallery spaces to showcase work from local neighborhoods
* Performing arts venues for theater, music and other "live" performances
* Community work space for Arts classes and hands-on experiences
* Traveling art exhibits to schools, community centers and assisted-living facilities
* The reuse and restoration of existing buildings to generate new revenue for property owners
* A catalyst for other businesses - eateries, shops, etc... that are attracted to an arts district

Mission

Supported by individuals, businesses and civic organizations, 40 West's singular goal is to support the arts, artists and artisans by creating community art spaces and community arts events in order to bring the joy and energy of creativity to our community. With a balanced approach of supporting both established and emerging artists as well as encouraging hands-on experimentation with the arts for the self-proclaimed non-artist, 40 West exists to enrich the community and support the cultural and economic vitality of the region.
