My dog, June, and I have worked with Jordan across Core and Intermediate Obedience classes. She is a thorough, patient, and caring teacher – her passion for dog training is definitely evident! We look forward to continuing our education with Front Range K9 Academy.
Couldn’t be more happy with the experience we’ve had with Front Range K9. After rescuing an 8 month old puppy, we realized pretty quickly that he might need some training after he showed some reactivity and aggression issues on walks. We had no idea what to do and were fearful we could make things worse if we didn’t do things right, so we started the hunt for a trainer, found FR K9 and got him in for an evaluation. We knew from the first few moments that it was for us and signed up for the problem solving package right away. Shortly before starting the program, we got his DNA test back and discovered he was mostly about half Pit Bull. To be honest, when we found that out, we wondered if we could ever help him… such a stigma with that breed… FR K9 helped us every single step of the way and alleviated all our fears. I’ve never been so happy with a purchase, it has proven to be worth every single penny. He just graduated from the core obedience and problem solving, he’s truly a different dog - in the best way. Walks and outings are more enjoyable now - for us & for him. We took him for a pet store outing for the first time a couple weeks ago and the pet store owner, who is a BIG Pit Bull advocate, called him a “Put Bill Brand Ambassador”! He still has some anxiety but we know what to do to help him through it now and correct him. We cannot wait to start the next level of obedience next month. Thanks to trainers Jordan and Meg - you both are just wonderful - and also to Carolyn for coordinating everything so seamlessly - and to owner Jennifer for jumping in on our stressed-out emails when we were struggling. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
What great trainers/instructors! They really do take their time and give each dog the individual attention and understanding specific to their needs. Jen, the owner, is an expert in her craft and has great insights on dogs & dog training. Jordan delivers the lessons in a clear and concise way with great care to meet each learner humans & dogs where they are. Totally trust that when you are done with your training course, you will have the tools needed to help your dog be a more calm and confident companion.
Wow! We are so pleased with our experience at Front Range K9 Academy! Our dog’s behaviors have truly improved, and we enjoyed learning more about the correct methods and techniques to help everyone communicate better. : our Golden Retriever is happier and much more obedient and attentive. Jordan is a great trainer and helped us so much! We would highly recommend for any level of need or training.
I’ve been taking my dog here for the past couple of months, and I can say these guys are the best!! My pup was having some trouble with nipping herding breed, and they helped me find a good outlet for this, plus taught us so many more helpful tricks. They are very experienced, and are so open minded and non-judgmental. Even if you don’t have specific problems you want to target, they can help you get a firm grasp on basic obedience as well. Very flexible too! My schedule is pretty crazy due to work, and these guys help me work around it with ease. A truly amazing group of people, 100/10 recommend
We absolutely love taking our dog here. Our puppy was in need of some obedience classes and they were able to help us get her on the right track. Meg does an excellent job of explaining and demonstrating the exercises so they are easy to understand and practice once we got home. Definitely looking forward to continuing on with our training. Thank you!!!
If you’re looking to learn how to help yourself and your dog, you can find it with this group of trainers. I thought I came here looking for a training course for ‘the basics’, but they provide so much more. Helping me understand how to communicate expectations, teach my dog skills, and set boundaries is the biggest gift I could give my dogs, and my family. Everyone is calmer and happier understanding their place in the pack. The work is not done, I brought our new pup to start will continue through the continuing classes and now I am so happy to start the core class with our older dog. I saw such a happy shift in our older boy when I applied what I learned for the puppy, I can’t just stop there: The instructors offer clear instruction and strategy. I can’t say enough about this great group and how glad I am to have found them.
As a fellow dog trainer, this is where I always refer client for group classes and private lessons. The system works if the owners commit to the program, the dogs are well-behaved and balanced, and the trainers are top notch. I know I can trust them to take care of my referrals and do a great job. Don't waste your money on any other group classes.
My partner and I got an ADORABLE puppy, Bowie, back in March of 2021. As first time dog owners, we were quickly overwhelmed with how to handle some of Bowie’s reactivity and wanted guidance on training obedience. We had our initial consultation with Jordan Dye who laid out their core obedience training program. We liked how it was a structured program and each week we would learn new skills to practice with a final exam/test at the end to move on to more advanced classes. We have now progressed from core obedience up to their advanced obedience class that we passed last night! Jordan is a phenomenal teacher and mentor who always greeted us with a smile, positive attitude, and constructive feedback on our handling. She helped us successfully quell Bowie’s reactivity and shape him into a good good good BOY! We are looking forward to continuing our doggy education with Front Range K9 with their elite obedience and KC Canine Good Citizen CGC Training & Testing. We will use Front Range K9 for any future dogs my partner keeps trying to convince me to get a second haha we get. I think Front Range K9 blends together correction and reward based dog training perfectly and it fit our and our dog’s needs. I highly recommend Front Range K9 to any dog owner.
We had our pup young; 4 months in beginning classes at Front Range K9 after researching several other training companies. He is super smart but head strong. He is a sport dog so alot of energy. We found these classes so beneficial!! The weekly classes build on each other so, homework at home. When I had issues with Murphy shenanigans, I would email the trainer and they would offer several solutions and one of them always worked counter surfing, puppy biting, food drive. Both the trainers we had Jorden and Meg are so well versed in dog behavior and extremely resourceful. Although there were a couple other dogs in class you did not feel that this was a one size fits all instruction. We will be attending more advance classes in the future. We would highly recommend this organization.
