Dr. Gebhardt is the best! She always does a great job getting me lenses to help me see better, and understands how to make sure my insurance will pay for it.

I don't want to say "never go here" because Dr. Gerbhardt is actually a great doctor. Their pricing on the other hand, is not transparent at all and borders on predatory. They only list exam fees online, there's no mention of an *extra* $150 fee to dispense a new eyeglass prescription, and there's no mention at booking of a separate $75 contact lens fitting fee. You would think the extra cost associated with the contact exam option would cover the fitting fee. At every other eye doctor I've been to in various states and cities even cities much larger than Portland, I've never had an exam priced a la carte this way, especially without warning. Every other eye clinic i've been to in the past 15 years has inclusive exams. Thankfully I was lucky enough to have insurance to eat the cost of this exam, it's almost stomach churning to think of how this would have been 5 years ago when I had no health insurance, like most of my contemporaries.

I had a great experience here. The doctor and eye wear specialist were wonderful. The receptionist was not the most friendly or helpful but everyone else was great

Dr G is awesome. She is super kind and does a very thorough job! She also is not afraid to shake her finger in my face and tell me what I’m doing wrong. Since her transition to EyeHealth Northwest, the office seems like they’re trying to catch up but they will get that figured out. I’ve been seeing Dr. Gebhardt for the last 13 years and she is exceptional - no reason to change.

This was the best experience with an eye exam I've ever had. Dr. Gebhardt strikes the perfect balance with friendliness and professionalism. More than that though, she really listened to my description of symptoms I've been having, asked many, many helpful, clarifying questions. Ran and double checked several tests. She even provided me with some specific reports I could take to an upcoming neurology appointment. It was clear that she cared about my well being. This is quite a contrast to most of my previous experiences, where a doctor seems focused on getting you in and out the door with just a lens prescription. Highly recommend! Especially if you need more than just a new prescription.

Sadly, a 1-star review for a formerly, 5-star eye doctor. I have been a faithful patient of Dr. Gebhardt for years - since long before this location. Sadly, I am moving on. I have never had an issue with Dr Gebhardt before today. I showed up today for my appointment that I had booked last year - prior to the change over to Eye Health NW. The person behind the counter could not find my appointment. Apparently, according to them, I was contacted in May to confirm my appointment, and since I did not reply, they cancelled it. I was not contacted in any way, shape, or form. In fact I contacted them in June to let them know about some changes to my insurance. No mention of the appointment cancellation, no mention of any thing. Anyway, back to today. The person behind the counter claimed I was called and never confirmed my appointment, which, as I Stated did not happen - no call was received, I checked my voicemails, and call history and nothing. I asked why my appointment cancellation was not discussed during the call about the insurance. No answer was given, only a "I guess we can reschedule you" this is a garbage response - no apologies, no empathy, nothing... I will never grace an Eye Health NW clinic with my presence again. Their customer service and patient interactions leave a very bad taste in my mouth. They have taken a decent local practice and turned it into an impersonal patient factory.

I've seen Dr. Gebhardt for years. Both she and her 'Girl Friday' Autumn are fabulous to work with. I take both my children to her and she was very helpful when one wanted to explore contact lenses. She went through the pros and cons and let her test putting them in. We ended up sticking with glasses for the time being, but feel like we had every opportunity to the best options for us.

This was a fantastic experience. I was tired of going to folks who were just a few years out of college or the new guy / gal in bigger practice. Dr. Gebhardt has been doing this for over 20 years and so I made the drive from SW Portland over to see her. The drive was well worth the visit. Her staff is friendly as also very experienced as they have been together as a team for a very long time. Dr. Gebhardt really knows here stuff as I have had surgery on my eyes over 30 years ago and she explained my options for new corrective surgery if I want to go down that path. But most important she really got my prescription for my eyes really dialed in. I feel like a new person. I can assure you she did things / test that others I have gone to, did not do. She knows here stuff. So if you are looking for experience, a great and friendly atmosphere I strongly recommend Dr. Gebhardt.

Dr Gebhart is extremely knowledgeable and she immediately puts you at ease. Her along with sweet Autumn run a small operation, and the reason is so the Dr can spend an hour with each patient. I had an eye exam and immediately booked for my daughter and son. Schedule a visit and see for yourself! You won’t be sorry!

Autumn is absolutely fabulous. She makes the office visit a very pleasant experience. She has such a positive additude. She is very friendly and outgoing. The office is ALWAYS on point- clean and tidy. My daughter and I both feel so lucky to have Autumn's help with all of our optical needs.
