Awesome room! This is the only room I've been to, and I had my doubts, but it was a really enjoyable experience. The friends I went with had completed at least 15 other rooms and they felt this one was very well done and more of an elaborate challenge than most. The moderator did a great job getting us in to character and setting us up for success. Our team ultimately escaped the room, though it was only with 4 minutes to spare. Great adventure - highly recommended! We will definitely come back when they update with a new room.
I played the "Spark of Resistance" puzzle room in October 2014 and absolutely loved it! The team behind this puzzle room did a PERFECT job at creating challenging puzzles yet solvable in the time frame with an efficient team. This event was one of the most memorable adventures for me and well worth the price of admission. I would love to go again with another group just to watch them solve the puzzles, and I will be first in line if this team creates a new puzzle room in the future!
This is the first escape room I tried and I must say that I had a lot of fun. I was with 7 other people 2 couples, a group of 3 . Even though we didn't know each other, we worked really well and helped each other out. We received a few hints because we got stuck but overall we solved most of the puzzles ourselves. I'll definitely try other escape rooms, and I recommend everyone to try them too : BTW, we managed to escape when there was only 55 seconds!
Had an amazing time here. My group of five got paired with another group of three, so we had a full party. The puzzles were really engaging and fun and made you think outside the box. The only reason this is not a five star review is that the place is a little difficult to find, there's no sign that says "Escape Room" or anything, the address is on the door, so look for that.
I brought seven 14 year old to do this, and they and I absolutely loved it. It was challenging enough that it took the group right until the very end to solve the puzzles, diverse enough that every member felt she or he contributed something to the solution, and logical enough that the group was able to escape ... with five minutes to spare. I'd highly recommend this for a birthday party or other gathering for kids ... or adults. The kids' verdict was that they'd like to come back, should the team ever design a new adventure, and I agree.
Overall our group of six had a great time and thought it was a nice challenge with good puzzles. However we walked away with a bad taste when we asked for a debriefing and we were turned down because we were the last group I think only group of the day and the woman wanted to get home. The intro where you have to talk yourself into the room past the same woman was very awkward and completely unecessary to the game. If this had been cut out, maybe there would have been time for a debrief, though I suspect that she still could not have been bothered. With other escape rooms in the Portland area, there would be other places to chose from.
As escape rooms go, this was fairly well done. We were here for the traveling Resident Evil room and the room was well put together and the proctors knew their role very well. The room played out a little disjointed but I have a feeling their hands were tied by the fact that the room was already scripted out for them.
We went here for the Resident Evil Escape Experience and it was so lit. I loved that it was in a no-name derelict looking brick building, it made the whole thing realistic, very low lighting and they took our phones. The puzzles were actually pretty hard and the rooms were spoopy 10/10.
The people were super nice and the experience was super fun. We didn't finish but we were close. The guy came in and let us quickly finish. They have another escape room which I will totally do in the future.
Fun team building experience. Well done. This event is well thought out from the very beginning at the entrance to the creative use of simple technical items to add even clever aspects to the game. Very well done and very professional execution. Very impressed. Great team building experience.
