Instant favourite speakeasy. Unless you know where you are going, you will not find it. And that makes it all the better. Dim light, soft music, delicious cocktails, and friendly staff. Pair it with good friends or a date, and it will do for a memorable night out in DC. The menu is short but well chosen. Seasonal cocktails were great. Prices range $15-20. Exceptional care and presentation 10/10. It gets busy. Reserve a place in advance. We didn't and got lucky 2 people, but had to wait up a bit 30 min. Positive: one of our cocktail glasses suddenly broke and the staff helped us and replaced it for a new cocktail. Negative: I only remember tall tables. It'd be great to have sofa/armchair seats to enjoy the drinks.

First let me start with the best part—the restroom. It’s very clean and cute. If the bathroom isn’t clean, you cannot expect the bar, or glasses to be clean. The drink selection is small but tasty. There are 9 drinks for all types of folks. I did not see a wine of beer list but there maybe one. On the night we visited, there was a live jazz band. It was nice to have live music but it was entirely too loud for a speakeasy. In addition, the center tables circles are a bit small with the decorative candle on the middle. Overall this is a nice bar to go to on U street. Do not forget to make a reservation..oh and they charged us $10.00 for just showing up Repeal Day this was unclear and not friendly.

Classic coctails and very unique cocktails of there own, this basement bar has amazing atmosphere and great employees. The cocktails are worth the wait as the bartenders cut all the ingredients fresh.

Super cozy cocktail bar. Great service, even better drinks. Its great to visit in small groups and have fun. Great location and close tho other places in case you need food after.

Fantastic tiny spot with truly innovative cocktails. Don't let the small size fool you, these folks are delivering amazing drinks. The popcorn was a perfect complement to our drinks. Definitely worth making a reservation.

Really fun speakeasy with great vibes and even better cocktails! I love all the highballs, but especially the vodka highball. Jazz night is so fun, but definitely need to make a reservation.

The coziest semi-hidden bar with a beautiful attention to detail, from the fresh herbs and flowers in the cocktails to the wood paneling to the roaring fireplace. The drinks were delicious and special. The whole service team was so kind, and my table of three felt so cared for. Thanks for making an evening with friends feel magical!

Had a lovely time here! It is definitley cocktail ambiance downstairs, with great music and a menu that is very versatile and top notch presentation. The staff is incredibly nice and approachable as well. Will definitley go back for jazz nights!

First time here and loved it! Very unique, tasty cocktails, excellent service. We had a reservation for Friday night, there is a two hour window for seating.

Hands down my favorite bar in DC. Patio is super awesome, staff is really friendly. Cocktails have so much flavor. Definitely recommend checking this place out.
