So let me started that I use dry cleaning services for 20 years. Never ever I have had worst in my life anywhere in the states. They burn one of my shirts and told me they will clean it for me fornfree to fix it??? Mind blowing, then I received my shirt back with damages and stains all over. When returned it they told me I brought them a dirty shirt??? Are you for real?? I thought that when you use cleaning services you bring dirty clothes to be cleaned, not the other way around. May be it's my bad and description on dry cleaning has changed. This is truly the worst service I've ever had. They destroyed 2 of my shirts, cost me over $200 and then told me it's my fault. Amazing. Do not go there and give them a single penny. Let's do a favor for all the rest and make sure they close for good. You can see on the picture the state if the shirt after it was "cleaned".
Disappointed to have to leave a negative review after two years of mostly happy patronage of 7 brothers, but today was the straw that broke the camel's back. I'd brought a shirt in for cleaning, and when I went to wear it a few days later, I noticed a massive rip in the sleeve that had not been there previously. I brought it in today, and they repeatedly insisted that no problems were their responsibility once the shirt has left the store. So I'm supposed to unwrap every shirt there and make sure they haven't damaged it? No thanks. What's more likely? That my first complaint in two years is BS, or that they made an easily-remedied mistake? The main virtue of this place, other than the friendly service, was that it was cheap. I'd been willing to overlook shirts coming back spotted on occasion, as I wasn't 100% sure that wasn't my fault. But prices have crept up steadily, and with the poor service when things go wrong, I won't be back.
I came in the get some pants taken in slightly, for a wedding. The older woman who was working at the time, kept making comments on my weight. She also asked if I ever ate? And how many meals I ate? I’m not terribly skinny I just have a small waist. When I went to pick up the pants they were taken in too much. I could barely button them. I will not come back.Service: Alterations
They damage clothes and are demanding of courtroom-quality evidence if you want any compensation. No sense of, "Oh, this customer uses us a lot and for a long time so I appreciate their patronage and want to foster the relationship so that they keep coming here." This is no place to relax; go to The Potter's House if that's what you seek. Instead, you need to be on the extreme defensive: you should photograph the front and back of all garments immediately before drop off in high-res, with good lighting, in front of them in the store, preferably with the front page of that day's newspaper in view to prove date it was taken and with enough of the 7 Brothers lobby in frame to prove the location and photograph the pieces again front and back immediately upon pickup in-store to document their condition. AND you must analyze and compare the photos and hand over the gathered evidence for evaluation BEFORE walking out the door, otherwise they do not cover the damage that they cause to shirts and they do cause some damage. If you feel this is a reasonable policy, then this is your kind of cleaners. I don't, so I have switched cleaners after one too many bad experiences. I used to use this place because of extensive hours and convenient location and low price and their hanger recycling program and generally nice employees. But their price kept going up, and there are hidden fees based on how you pay, and shirts were getting damaged more often and they wouldn't compensate because I had left the store. Also, FYI "organic" is not an FDA-regulated term for dry cleaners, so not sure what it means on their store sign. I've switched to Family Cleaner's/Kim's Cleaner's on Lanier which has similar prices to 7 Brothers and so far so good.
This is my go to dry cleaners in Adams Morgan and I have tried a few others. The price is what brings me back here. The charge ~$2 to dry clean at least for shirts, sweaters, dress pants, and ties and I think about a $1.50 to just launder shirts and press them. The workers are very friendly and they usually have everything done in a day or two. This business is CASH only so make sure to bring some bills.
Best place for dry cleaning,I am their customer for the last 5 years. Always been taken care and prices are v reasonable.. highly recommend.Services: Ironing
I had been using this establishment for a year with no issue. However, that changed when the back of one of my shirts was totally shredded by their machine. I didn't think it was a big deal. Clothes get damaged all the time, however I was only offered a $15 store credit for a $100 shirt.
The sign says open but no one is ever there. I’ve come twice during business hours and the door is always locked. Don’t waste your time
The best dry cleaner in DC. They are professional, kind, on time, and are the most affordable in town. Great service! Highly recommend.
Great service with a smile. $1.99 per piece. Alterations are done well, but costly. Convenient hours
