They don’t have toothpaste, which is weird. Looked like a typical 7/11. When I asked about the toothpaste the employee didn’t know what I was talking about and wanted to sell something else. Confusing! Plus their card reader was down and they only took cash, so I couldn’t get anything anyway. Yes there were homeless people outside, but they were just chilling and held the door open for me, so it wasn’t that big of a deal. There’s a CVS across the street and I’m sure that’ll have what you need.
Your typical 7/11. Well stocked, clean and the associates are decent. I just wish they could do something with all of the homeless people who hang out in the front. They hold the door open for you, compliment you then expect you to give them your change on the way out. They get nasty when you don't "tip" them.
Place is always closed at night even though it's advertised as 24/7 open.
Don’t go to this store! The smell inside is horrible, they allow homeless to sit outside the store harass customers all day long. They act like they’re cleaning but stay in one spot and the store is clearly not clean. Avoid this place at all cost! If you go don’t buy anything they would have to prepare please, the store is nasty and you will most likely get sick from how unclean it is.
Seriously, for a "newer" 7-Eleven this location continues to disappoint. How do you have promotions posted all over your store but the staff is completely baffled when you say something. Last week it was buy a coffee and a Donut for $2 with a pic of a glazed donut and their new stay hot cup.. I'm then told the stay hot cup isn't applicable for the promotion even when the promo pic is the new cup... This week is ANY SIZE free coffee for people with the 7-eleven app from 10/12-10/18 again promotional pic shows every cup they carry I go to get my coffee and am charged even after scanning the app Was told again "it's from October 12 which I respond "I know, that today".... then the employee who CLEARLY doesn't know say "this cup is special it doesn't count" so I go grab the promotional picture which again has the keep warm cup on it. He responds "you can try again tomorrow".... This store is the poops!
I HATE giving bad reviews but I would feel guilty if I didn't share this & someone else have the same experience highly likely w a clerk. I'm newer to the area & was already forewarned to avoid Philly 7ELEVEN by coworkers when I moved here. The Old City District nieghborhood is most typically a great experience & any other 7ELEVEN I'd been to followed the typical basics for customer service. I needed a new cord for charging my cell, couldn't find at CVS so I unfortunately gave local 7ELEVEN a shot. I was essentially refused service!!!?!?!! I found a cord that looked like it might fit by description but again the CVS ones read the same but didn't actually fit. I responsibly take the box to the counter & ask if we can open to verify a match. 1st clerk wasn't sure & deferred to his coworker who ends up being batshit crazy! The 2nd clerk tells me I have to buy the cord first. I said ok and if it doesn't fit I'll get back in line & go for a refund.....thats when the guy goes 100% NUTS! Telling me a customer WILL NOT TELL HIM WHAT HE WILL & WILL NOT DO! I said excuse me? I just said Id check the cord after purchase & get back in line if there's a problem. He tells me that no I won't, there aren't any refunds! So bizzare!!! He never explained why he just snapped & gave THE WORST BIZZARE Attitude ever! Street beggars have better etiquette than this guy. He needs at the very least a lifesized snickers. Just avoid this place when you're in Olde City Philly & go to basically ANY other establishment for quick purchases. I ended up going to Old City Market for my cord - just down the street - MUCH better inventory & more importantly very nice, sane & professional people.
I just walked down from 7-Eleven with three items from other store and the guy wanted me pay for one of the items that I brought from the other place. Even with the receipt, he acuse me to still from 7-Eleven. You all can look up the cameras and see me today Sunday April 19th around 9:25pm. It is an absurd!
Count your change when you leave-morning crew keeps some of your change-its run by people who dont care at all-they have conversations between eachother like your not there and the homeless people out front harassing every female that walks by- they smile uncomfortably and the store owners let them sit at the front door all day long. And the place has a faint odor of old refrigerator when you walk in. I am working next to this so called store and cant do dunkin -too far
They carry an ever-expanding selection of excellent snacks. Also, more than one employee has been so nice on several occasions that it is worth mentioning. Meeting my general criteria for a 7-11 for sure.
It’s says it’s open 24 hours but it’s closed ona Friday night before 12:30 am. They need to update their hours. It stayed open for a couple weeks and is closed again during the week. Every night I pass by others are tying to go in as well. There’s a handwritten note saying closes until 6:00 am
