Amazing food and awesome experience. The restaurant is very nice with a great seating setup. Complementary valet parking is a huge plus. The food was very good. Steak was very tender and seasoned perfectly. The mash potatoes are the best I've ever had. They add parmesan or garlic butter on top not sure exactly but it takes it to another level. The service was specular.
We were in Omaha for the College World Series and some friends from there suggested 801 Chophouse for a nice dinner one night. Our trip was for my son's high school graduation. I asked what their specialty was and our server immediately replied the prime rib. Prime rib is one of my favorites, so I'm in, and was joined by my wife and son. It was excellent, one of the best I've ever had. Cesar salad and garlic mashed potatoes also awesome, but my son loved the mac & cheese said it was the best he ever had. Took the leftovers back to the hotel for the next night! It's a hike from the stadium, but a nice stroll.
New to the area and was looking for a nice place to finish off my year. This place was it. From the valet to the server to the maître d everything was seamless. We started with scallops, so buttery and cooked perfectly. Our server recommended to us a Nebraska Wagyu tomahawk steak which was cooked and carved deliciously for us. The Mac and cheese was good but nothing special we came for the steak. The bread pudding was good as well. It's a place for a special occasion and it felt special from start to finish. We will be back!
Great overall experience. The prices are pretty steep and beware when you're choosing the toppings for your steak. My husband had an issue with the suggestion from the waiter and ended up with an extra charge not realizing. $25 corkage fee for bringing your own bottles.
Beautiful and fancy restaurant. I loved the atmosphere and food. We had a great waiter. However, it is very, very expensive!!! I would go to this restaurant if I really want to impress someone. The food was great. This is the type of restaurant that I would get dressed up to go to. Maybe not a suit and tie but I definitely wouldn't wear no T-shirt or jeans to go to this restaurant. I do plan on going back in the future.
We had the 12 ounce filet and the 16 ounce ribeye in which they were both excellent. I had the garlic mashed potatoes, a little too much garlic and my husband had the grilled asparagus that he enjoyed very much. The carrot cake was amazing and without raisins which made it even better! The staff was outstanding! A very enjoyable evening. Thank you to everyone at 801 Chophouse!
This is such a lovely place for a special night out. Sunday nights are a great value, too! You'll never have better steak, perfectly prepared. And add the truffle butter!!Food: 5/5
Service was good and the food was tasty. We came in on a Monday evening and we were seated quickly. Several of us had the wagyu and it was delicious. I normally have my beef cooked med rare however I was told with wagyu it would be better more well so I got it cooked to med. It came with a certificate btw. For dessert the carrot was the hit and recommend.
In my opinion, the 801 cut is the best prime rib you can buy. It's cooked exactly how you want it. My wife got 2lb Maine lobster and loved it. The "old fashioned" could use some work. It's not what you expect from such a nice restaurant. The Martini is very good. They also provide great craft beers. You can easily spend 300$ here and it's worth every penny.
Patty was our Server... Very gracious and helpful. The food: outstanding! The menu was oddly small as in the font size being so tiny... Maybe I AM getting OLD LOL
