87th Street Dog Run

This place is awesome and quickly you can see who's not part of that environment because everyone is in a good mood and having a great time with beautifull views

87th Street was totally renovated thanks to a heroic effort on the part of many volunteers and contributors some years ago. The surface and drainage have held up well. In the heat of summer, far more of the run is shady. But the 81st Street run is newer and the 72nd Street run is best overall imo.

Don't have a dog, but this dog run gets a lot of use by dog owner's.

dirty and/or dusty park, some parents bring kids in there to watch chase, feed, scare dogs instead of asking a dog owner to teach them how to interact with dogs properly. today a dad brought hockey sticks to play hockey with tennis balls in the dog park. some dogs got terrified, some angry, some didn't mind. i left.

Great for local pups. Small dogs have a very tiny area to run around but it works.

Great park to dogs.
