This 99¢ store had one of the rudest checker l had the misfortune to have handle my items. She was so busy talking to the other checker l was ignored completely. She then took offense with me because I said she was to busy talking and l wasn't certain she added the ice l purchased but she did and she wasn't certain what I purchased let alone have the courtesy of acknowledge me, she was plain rude. With all the people they have working for them they should spend some time cleaning the store instead of talking with each other about who did what the night before. Very disappointed.
Since the price of living has gone up I do much of my food shopping here. Good deals on breads and bagels as well as some refrigerated foods. Lots of parking, easy in and easy out of parking lot.
So much variety but some things you expect to be at a discount from regular retail stores are actually sold at a higher price and lesser quality. So WARNING!! Know the usual price at other stores before you either pay too much and/or get at a lower quality. This goes for any and everything in this store - from foods to household to makeup to anything.
This is one of our favorite stores... you can find all kind of stuff in here... back home we had a 99 cents store but nothing was 99 cents i guess it's the cost of living in Hawaii plus they never change merchandise... When we first got here this was one of our first store we visited... i was sceptical thinking it was jus like home but to my surprise almost everything was 99 cents! And if it wasn't they had the price sticker on it... the best thing is that every time we go there is different stuff... We shop here so much but never really wrote or took pictures because we get so overwhelmed by all the stuff in there and when there is new stuff we get all excited... Our favorite is the snacks! OMG the snacks... of course being junk food junkies we have to visit this section... they have jerkey, chips, pork and shrimp chips, nuts, pretzels, dips, candy and just about every kind of snack... i know it's bad but at least it's only 99 cents... They have pretty much all kinds of things like party stuff, household goods, pet supplies, office supplies, beauty items, medical items, hardware, paper goods, cleaning supplies, produce, fruits and vegetables, beverages, liquor, toys and so much more... Only thing is that this location there are a lot of homeless people in the parking lot... twice we saw incidents were a homeless person shoplifted and they tried to catch them but the security their really didn't do anything... that mall needs better security... not only to prevent shoplifters but to make their customers feel safe in and out of their store...
They have a certain fit in our society when you're in a hurry and you need something quickly without standing in the long line you're great. The people on the Everhart location are very nice very good and friendly and quite helpful.
Sorry to say, this store is not stocked with simple things I have bought there for over 15 years. Overall prices are too high. The produce is very good, however and priced well.
Everyone was friendly ,but they only had 1 cashier ,her name lucy, nice lady very friendly, funny story she was in the expres check out ,and wen she saw us with so many things she said ,sorry is a little more then 10, and I laugh saying you're the only cashier available, and she said ,ok ,smiling, I think they need to hire more personel.
Took forever for someone to come and open the restroom. And an elderly had to go. By the time someone came to open there was a line of customers waiting to go. Highly recommend going before.
I only giving this store 3 because I think when labeling/ pricing it should clear what's more than 99 cent. It's not even 99 cent only changed to the 99. You in the store like where's Waldo. Hard anything is a dollar anymore I don't like that when get rung up. And they were out of a lot things.
Employees are definitely not the nicest or helpful at all but aside from that they usually do have a good selection of items
