My son and I were delighted to find a bakery that sold goodies he was able to eat. All gluten free and mostly dairy free. It was a delight. Looking forward to going back and you can even order online! A+
I love having a gluten free bakery close to home, especially when they have exactly what I'm craving! The carrot cake is my favorite, along with pizza dough, chocolate covered pretzels, and spinach pies. I stop in whenever I am in the area.
I bought the a and j bakery funfetti cupcakes from daves marketplace. First of all awesome that they partnered with daves! I came home to try one and right off the bat I was so happy that the frosting was soft and fluffy. I can't stand hard and thick frosting on top of a cupcake. So I will definitely have to stop in to the a and j bakery for my first time soon!
Great bakery! Got apple pies and cookies for Thanksgiving. Awesome. Great selection , professional staff. Clean and organized.
Some items I purchased were frozen solid. And they were not purchased in the freezer. That was a bit disappointing considering I needed them for an event I went to directly after purchasing.
I just moved here from Alabama and recently my daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. I'm thrilled there is a bakery close to our house that she can enjoy the many treats and other products. I bought the éclair and it was delicious. I purchased the funfetti cake for my daughter and that was just as good. I will be a regular customer and grateful for this bakery!
First time I was overwhelmed in a bakery. We went here and could literally eat most anything, which is a feat with our nut and wheat allergies. There are a few items with gelatin and for those avoiding animal products or pork specifically just read the labels more carefully. We had never tried pizza strips....delicious..now I see why people in RI like em. Pastry portions are generous and everything was well made. Eclair was huge and may e had a bit too much frosting on top but amazing overall. Cannoli filling was great. Apple slice and fig slices are jam packed with fruit and flavor. The carrot cake tasted delicious but is a bit dense. Raspberry sour cream cake was moist and delicious and cinnamon rolls satisfied the hubbies craving. Will definitely be back.
For the 2021 holiday season I ordered 2 gingerbread house kits. One from A&J and one from another bakery. The A&J came packaged well, obviously fresh, smells SO GOOD! Has frosting and candies and is allergy safe and gluten free. The shipping was fast too, considering it shipped from across the country. I cannot wait to order more. The OTHER gingerbread house kit was a HUGE disappointment! Thanks A&J Bakery for this great gluten free item. The only con I can think of is price. It was the most expensive of all the gingerbread houses I've purchased. With that being said, I've recommended it to others and will order again!
I received a surprise package with several yummy and gluten free goodies. I have no idea who sent it but I have already opened the amazing, mouth watering cinnamon rolls that were sent. It doesn't taste like it's gluten free and the texture is incredible. I haven't had any since I found out I have celiac disease over 13 years ago. Thank you for the kindness of whoever sent this incredible package of gluten free baked goods including: chocolate chip loaf, blueberry bagels, classic white bread, white chocolate raspberry cookies and of course, the cinnamon buns. I have a very happy palate!
Am I the only one that doesn’t enjoy this GF bakery? With the advancements in GF cooking their products have never gotten better. Sure 10 years ago they were great but put their cupcakes up to King Arthur’s GF cupcakes and King Arthur wins hands down. It’s time to update your recipe and frosting.
